While you might want to consume silly amounts of meat on Christmas day, you should try to replace it with more veg over the rest of the holidays. Changing your diet in that manner could stop you from putting on too much weight. It will also help with your energy levels. Most vegetables release energy slowly, and so you don’t get the peaks and troughs you might experience with fatty or sugary foods.

We aren’t only becoming more and more obsessed with ageing; we are also fixated on our appearance in general. The term “selfie”, which now has a definition in the Oxford Dictionary, has taken on a life of its own. These self-portraits are taken and then shared with the world on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
And it is not only us regular people taking part in this fad. Celebrities and politicians have also enthusiastically adopted the practice of taking a selfie. Shhhh, don’t tell my girls but I’m thinking about getting an XBox 360 so they (ok WE) can play with the Disney Infinity: Toy Box Starter Pack (2.0 Edition) and Big Hero 6 figures that I received from Disney when I went to Los Angeles last month. It looks like so much fun! I love that my girls will be able to use their imaginations to create their own games as well as play with preset games, too. It is great for most ages and levels so it is perfect for our family.
