How Good Health And Good Teeth Go Hand In Hand

It seems that when we as a society talk about oral hygiene, we almost exclusively focus on the cosmetic side.

Adverts for toothpaste and mouthwash focus on the appeal of bright, shiny, straight white teeth. They emphasize the need for breath to smell good, lest you be dismissed as a pariah by your friends every time you speak. The adverts feature attractive people with beaming smiles, with a subtext of how nice teeth makes you a more attractive person all round.

It’s a valid point; no one likes to see yellowed, unclean and crooked teeth. Most of us spend a lot of time into caring for our oral hygiene to prevent ever getting to that stage.

However, when the focus becomes all about appearances, we often forget the underlying issues. It’s nice to have good teeth, but it’s even more important to have good health. These things, surprisingly, are not exclusive from one another.

It may sound extreme to say that poor oral care can kill you but, surprise, it completely can! That’s like finding out that the teddy bear you have loved since school is made of asbestos, isn’t it? We’ve all focused on the wrong thing for too long. Good teeth and mouth care is the essential bit – the nicer appearance is a sidenote.

The killer aspect of this is nothing to do with people departing the earth due to the poor state of your teeth. It’s all about bacteria. Your mouth is a portal to the outside world and, to put it frankly, it’s a breeding ground. Your mouth, right now, full of gross bugs of all descriptions. You’re essentially a bug hotel. You’re welcome for that image.

Most of those bugs are fine, and you live in harmony with them. Some are even beneficial. Others are less friendly. If you don’t remove them with a good oral care routine, they can make their way into your system via the soft mouth membranes. From there, it is a well-accepted medical fact that they can decide to set up home in your heart. You know, the thing you rely on to keep you alive. This is a condition called endocarditis, and if left untreated, it’s going to kill you.

That’s not the end of the story. There is a host of oral-related illnesses that can make life miserable. Gingivitis and abscesses are common concerns, and both of which can lead to health problems beyond the mouth. You could also end up losing your teeth.

Now, with the scary bit out of the way: don’t panic! The good news is this is all 100% preventable. Make sure you brush your teeth after every meal. Mouthwash is optional; flossing is not. You can use conventional string floss, but Dr. Lamblord Sheth has a good point about the benefits of water irrigation. Cleaning between teeth is not something to avoid; try and do it at least once every day.

The final step is the obvious one: regular check-ups. If your dentist doesn’t smile with recognition when they see you, you should do something about that. The pros know best, after all.

Vital Points To Consider When Deciding Which Dog Breed Is Best For You

Thank you for visiting Cori's Cozy Corner! Please make sure to like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our E-mails!

Bringing a dog into your home is a wonderful and exciting experience, but you will have some serious decisions to make before you get to that stage. After you have decided that a dog is the right pet for you, you need to work out which breed will fit into your lifestyle the best.

dogs-974543_960_720Image Source

Have a read through these main considerations before making your decision:

Home

How much space do you have? A large garden and outdoor spaces are needed for big dogs such as dalmatians and collies. If you have a small apartment with no yard, you will need to focus on smaller dogs, such as terriers and toy breeds.

Small Children

A dog will need to fit in with the whole family. While most breeds can live in a family life, there are some factors you need to consider. Labrador’s are seen as ideal family dogs due to their good nature and laid back personalities. Larger strong dogs need to be watched around small children, as they can easily become boisterous and knock them over. Children have a tendency to pick up and mollycoddle smaller toy breeds. This should be discouraged as you may end up with a bad tempered pooch, which can lead to behavioural problems. Children will need to learn how to behave with a dog, just as the dog must learn with them.

Costs

There are many designer dog breeds nowadays which are becoming very popular. French bulldogs, pugs and unusual cross breeds all cost significant amounts of money, some in the thousands. But there are plenty of lovely breeds which are much more affordable, such as many terriers and gun dogs.

Breeder or Rescue Centre

If you buy a puppy, you will need to do you research and only buy a healthy dog from a respectable breeder. Try not to feel sorry for a puppy from a puppy farm as this will only encourage and fund this terrible industry more. There are also many wonderful dogs in rescue centres, waiting for their forever home. Different breeds of all ages are available, just inform the staff of your requirements and they will advise which pooches to look at.

Time

More intelligent breeds, such as spaniels and collies, will take a lot of time. They will need to be trained and entertained to keep them mentally stimulated. All dogs need basic training, and while more intelligent breeds will pick this up faster, they will also bore quicker. Any breed will become destructive and develop behavioural problems if neglected and ignored.

Exercise

You need to be practical with how much exercise you are going to be able to give your dog. All dogs need to be walked, but smaller toy breeds will only need one short to medium walk a day, while larger and more energetic breeds will need multiple, long walks. Exercise is a vital part of maintaining your dog’s health.

Health

Some breeds seem to inherit specific health problems. This is due to how they have been bred throughout the years. Pugs and Bulldogs can develop breathing problems, while Labradors and Retrievers can suffer from dog obesity. TheDogHealth discusses obesity in dogs, but you need to make sure you are able to look after and maintain your dog’s health, no matter what breed you choose.

How To Come Up With Great Gift Ideas

Thank you for visiting Cori's Cozy Corner! Please make sure to like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our E-mails!

Coming up with great gift ideas isn’t always an easy task. It all depends on who you’re buying for, the occasion, and their age. After all, you might be able to find a great toy or games console for a child, but the same gift probably wouldn’t go down too well with a teen or adult. There are a few things you can do to come up with a great gift idea.

Take a look on gift sites that categories their gifts by age. This is a simple way to see what people are buying for people of the same age. Many also categories gifts by occasion, so you can easily see what there is to buy there too.

If you’re buying for a wedding, christening, or another special occasion, you’ll want to buy a special gift to mark it. Most people go with photo frames, personalized items, or even just cash so they can buy whatever they like. Cash might seem impersonal, but many people prefer. This means they can buy something they actually need rather than having something that will gather dust over the years.

If you’re buying for a birthday, Christmas, or even just because you want to, finding gifts can be a little more difficult. It’s always nice to make sure the gifts are thoughtful, so making a note of the person’s likes and dislikes is a good idea. If you’re unsure, maybe try speaking to somebody close to them and see what they say. It can be pretty easy with a little detective work. You can’t usually go wrong with a nice alcoholic beverage for adults. The infographic below explains why scotch can be a great gift!

2 Month Post Op Gastric Sleeve Update Including What I’m Eating Now

Thank you for visiting Cori's Cozy Corner! Please make sure to like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our E-mails!

13502005_10153593058546770_7245326217828475999_nThis picture is a few weeks old from when I was 8 weeks post op.

Sorry I’ve been a total slacker updating about my progress since my gastric sleeve surgery. (Check out my other posts about my gastric sleeve surgery.) My surgery was April 25, 2016. I am now almost 10 weeks post op. This was supposed to be my 2 month/8 week update so it’s a little late. My girls are home with me all summer and keeping them busy and active has taken priority over posting so please forgive me.

I am down 27 pounds since the surgery and a total of 37 pounds overall since I started the preop diet. It is slow weight loss compared to many who get the sleeve BUT I’m 42 years old, I’ve probably killed my metabolism with so many diets over the years, and I have PCOS so that makes losing weight even harder. That being said, at least I am losing even if it is slow. I am more than half way to my goal of 150. Just 35 more pounds to go. Ultimately I’d like to be closer to 135 but 150 is my goal for now. I will admit that I have been busy with my girls being home and I haven’t exercised like I should be. (I wasn’t losing any faster when I was exercising the first month though.) I am exhausted all the time from my fibromyalgia and so I’m having a hard time getting motivated. Have any tips on getting motivated to go to the gym or exercise? Please share them. One day I’d love to actually love working out. Right now, not so much sadly. I’m just being honest. But even when I’m not losing pounds, I can tell I am losing inches. I am really beginning to see the difference from the before and after pictures.

TIP- Someone told me this tip and it’s a good one. Take pictures of yourself every month in the same door frame. It’s easier to see weight loss when you’re within the same “frame”. It helps keep perspective.

The best news is that I went to my endocrinologist and………..MY A1C IS NORMAL WITHOUT MEDS!!!! My diabetes is in remission!!! If nothing else I am totally thankful for this surgery for that news!!!

There is a little bad news to report though. I’ve mentioned before that everything I eat gets stuck by the 3rd bite no matter how tiny my bite is and how much I chew. I went for an Upper GI test a few weeks ago and it was determined that I have reflux and a hiatal hernia that I didn’t have before surgery. It might have happened from the few times I vomited after surgery or when I got hiccups a few times. I have tried everything else my doctor suggested- chewing slow, chewing smaller bites, going back to liquids for a few days, etc. and nothing has helped SOOOOO I’m having the hernia repaired in a few weeks. I’m not happy to have surgery again but I want relief and I can’t live like this with food getting stuck at every meal. It is uncomfortable and no way to live forever. I’ll update on the surgery when I finally get a date but the surgeon said it is laparoscopic and only requires one night in the hospital. I’m hoping the pain is minimal like the sleeve surgery was for me.

The middle image below is a good depiction of what is happening with my sleeve. Just picture the right side of the stomach gone like my stomach is. The top part of my new stomach is sliding up above my diaphragm because of the hernia. When I eat anything it sits above my diaphragm and gets stuck because the stomach isn’t where it should be. My stomach should be all below my diaphragm instead of part of it up above my diaphragm where my esophagus should be. It makes total sense why food is getting stuck. I just hope the surgery fixes it and I can begin my “new normal” life.

2 months post op gastric sleeveHere are some foods that I’ve been having lately. I met with a nutritionist and she said to stick with proteins for now. When I lose another 10 pounds she said I can add one starch and one fruit per day on the days I exercise. I am still trying to drink at least 64 oz of liquids per day (mostly water). I stay away from caffeine since it is a diuretic. The doctor said for every cup of caffeine I have I need to drink 2 cups to counteract the effects. It’s hard enough to get 64 ounces in to begin with so I just avoid caffeine. I only have protein drinks on days when I am really low on protein for the day so only a day or two a week.

I start every day with Fairlife Milk. It is high in protein and low in carbs. I take my meds (Ursodiol and Omeprazole) with the milk as well as my vitamins (multi, B Complex, iron, D, B12 (every other day since it was high when I was tested a few weeks ago), and Hair, Skin, and Nails Vitamins. I haven’t started losing my hair yet but they say it usually starts at 3 months so it’s probably going to happen soon. With the biotin in the Hair, Skin, and Nails Vitamins and the PURA D’OR organic shampoo and PURA D’OR organic conditioner I use to prevent hair loss, I’m hoping my hairloss is minimal. Two hours after I take my iron I take 2 calcium chewables.

Some of my other go to products:
chicken breasts

Easy frozen chicken breasts that are individually portioned. Just throw it in the oven frozen and viola!

chicken burgers

Again easy single serving frozen chicken burgers.

dole dippers

Great for a sweet fix. I only have one or two pieces in a package and give the rest to my kids. I don’t get the banana version because it has too much sugar/carbs for me.

fairlife milk

Fat Free Ultra-Filtered Fairlife Milk is high in protein and low in carbs. It tastes great. I take my pills with 8 oz every morning to jumpstart my protein intake for the day.

fried eggs

Don’t let the picture confuse you. I’m only eating one egg for breakfast at this point but at least one of my girls requests one when I’m making mine. This Microwave Egg Cooker Stoneware from Pampered Chef makes fried, scrambled, and poached eggs so easily. I love it and because it’s stoneware, clean up is a breeze. I also keep hard boiled eggs on hand for protein snack.

griled nuggetsMy favorite “fast food” is Chick-fil-a grilled chicken nuggets. They are the perfect size for me. I usually get the 8 piece and have left overs. YUM!

protein chipsI recently found these Protein Chips at Walmart. They are high protein chips that are low in carbs and give me a much needed crunch. They do have an aftertaste and aren’t yummy like regular chips but they do help with cravings so I keep them on hand for those times when I really want chips.
ready snack goEasy on the go protein lunch or snack. I also always have low sodium Boar’s Head deli in the house to my my own deli rollups but these are easy to take and go. Just watch the sodium. It adds up.

cheese crackers

Cheese “Crackers” made from Sargento Ultra Thin Cheese Slices. Cut each slice into 4s, place on parchment paper, and cook in the oven for 35 minutes at 250 degrees. They are soooo good!

sugar free jelloMy favorite snack- sugar free jello. I like these brands because they are more “solid” than the Jello brand and I like my jello to be more like jigglers than too soft. Bonus, I count the jello as part of my water count for the day since it’s made with water. 😉

tyson chickenI saved my favorite for last. These Tyson Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Strips are the bomb! They are low in carbs (7 carbs in a 3 oz serving) so I can have them for lunch or dinner and get 16 grams of protein. They taste homemade. My husband thought I had breaded my own chicken the first time I made them. They are great to dip in G Hughes Sugar Free BBQ Sauce (I should have taken a picture of that, too. It tastes like regular BBQ sauce and is SOOOOO good!) and also great to make into chicken parm. YUM! Make sure to get the ones pictured. They are precooked. They also sell them raw. The precooked ones are easier because you can microwave them.

garbage can life hackMy husband came up with something pretty genius and I thought I’d share with my readers who likely have the same problem. Our children have a bad habit of stuffing the garbage can in the kitchen so the bag falls down into the can. Ewwwwww! Hubby came up with the idea to put 2 Command Strips upside-down on the sides of the can to hold the ties of the garbage bag down keeping the garbage bag in place. Genius!!!

osmo genius kit review

My girls love technology. What kid doesn’t these days? But I was really getting tired of them just wanting to play mindless games on their cellphones. If I let them, they’d play on their cellphones all day. That’s why I set up our Summer Electronics Rules. They have to earn electronics time by doing chores but to cash in their earned electronics time they have to do various tasks such as reading for 30 minutes and playing 15 minutes on an educational website or with an educational game. When were were offered an Osmo to review my girls couldn’t wait to test it out. I’ll admit that when I first heard of Osmo I worried that my girls (10 and 12 years old) would be too old for it but boy was I wrong. The product says it is for ages 5-12 but it each game has so many levels and grows with your child’s skills so it is challenging even for my 12 year old. I played with Osmo and some of the levels of games like Osmo Tangram were even challenging for me. And any age can learn to draw with Osmo Masterpiece. But I’ll get into all that in a bit. Let’s talk about what Osmo is.

So what is Osmo?

Osmo, created by young parents, encourages creative thinking and social interaction by expanding gameplay beyond the screen, turning any physical object into a digitally connected game piece.

Osmo is a game system that is integrates with your iPad for a unique gaming experience. There are five games can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App store. Search for Osmo and you’ll find Newton, Tangram, Masterpiece, Words, Numbers and the newest game Coding. All 5 games require use of the Osmo reflector and base which come in all 3 of the Osmo Kits. Tangram, Coding, Words and Numbers use physical objects that come with the set, whereas Newton and Masterpiece only require use of the Osmo reflector and base. We received the Genius Kit to review which comes with the physical objects needed to play all the current games except Osmo Coding and my girls have already asked if I would begged me to buy them the coding set.

What Comes With Osmo?

playing with osmo

The Osmo is very easy to set up and can be used almost anywhere with a flat surface. Right out of the box you just  have to adjust the base for your model iPad by following the direction. Once the base is set up for your model iPad simply place the iPad in the base, slide the Osmo reflector over the iPad’s camera and you’re ready to play. Osmo works by “reading” the playing area in front of the iPad. We found that it works best (especially playing Tangrams) when you play on a light surface so we put a big piece of white paper in front of the iPad when we play. It just makes it easier for the iPad camera to properly see what is in the playing area. Playing in a well lit area helps, too.

Osmo Tangram

Arrange wooden puzzle pieces into matching onscreen shapes. Play with your child or challenge yourself to more advanced levels with Osmo acting as your mentor by lighting up with each victory

osmo tangram

Tangram can be played individually or with more than one player cooperating together to solve a puzzle. There are 7 Tangram tiles in various shapes and colors. On the screen the game shows the players an image formed with the various tiles and they have to figure out how to place the tiles to form that image. In easier levels the picture on the screen shows each individual tile that is used to form the image and in harder levels players just see an outline of the image and have to figure out how the tiles get arranged to form the image. Tangrams is a great game for spacial and visual problem solving. Players have to look on the screen of the iPad to see the image and move the pieces in the right position in front of the iPad on the table. As the correct tiles are placed in the correct place the image changes color on the screen to let players know it’s in the right spot. Make sure to move your hands out of the way after you place a tile so the camera can see the pieced you put down. As you complete the puzzles, the harder levels become unlocked.

The game Tangram has been around for almost a thousand years, but Osmo reinvents this classic using a fully interactive video experience. With visual and audio feedback, multiple levels of difficulty, achievements and more.

Osmo Newton

Use your creativity with inventive objects such as a hand drawn basket, grandma’s glasses, dad’s keys or anything around you to guide falling onscreen balls into targeted zones.

newton

Newton is one of the games that can be played without any special pieces. Balls drop from the top of the screen and players direct the balls to bounce off of various targets by drawing shapes to direct the balls where they want them to go. Players can also put random objects, even Tangram pieces on the playing surface and the iPad camera will turn those objects into lines that will also direct the onscreen balls to bounce off the target. Players have to plan how to get the balls to bounce off of the targets and adjust their technique as the balls come down so there is lots of problem solving and strategizing involved.

TIPS- Use a dry erase board to draw shapes to direct the balls into the targets. Grab items around the house and see what works best to direct the balls. We tried various markers, pencils, our hands, and even some dolls and toys.

60 levels of fun! The more you succeed, the harder it gets! You can use simple strategies in the beginning, but as you progress Newton will challenge you with bouncing balls, accelerating platforms and fans that force you to think in new ways!

Osmo Words

Be the first to guess and spell out the on screen hidden word by tossing down real life letters faster than your friends. A related picture gives the clue

osmo words

Words is similar to a game of hangman. There are 2 sets of letters and you can play by yourself or with several players. In Verse Mode players compete and in Zen Mode players work together. An image appears on the screen and players have to figure out what is depicted in the image. There are circles on the bottom of the screen that represent how many letters are in the word. Players put letters on the playing surface that they think are part of the word that is being represented. If the letter is correct they get a point and the letter shows up in the word. If they get the letter wrong the letter goes up on the top of the screen so players can keep track of letters that have been tried. But you have to be fast or your opponent will put the letters down before you!

As the levels get harder the images get harder, too. For example one round there was a picture of a horse jumping. We thought that the word was HORSE but when my girls put down an S it was wrong. It turned out that the word was RIDER. So they had to think outside of the box a little and not pick the obvious word. It’s all trial and error but you only get a certain amount of guesses per round so be careful! For younger children this is a great game to learn to spell various words and while older children might already know how to spell the words, the harder levels make them think about what the words might be and act fast to get the letters down quickly.

Words comes with over 150 default puzzle images, but if you guess your way through those it’s easy to log on to myOsmo and download new albums created by the community. This added content can extend your playtime endlessly! Do you have a great idea for a Words album? If so, you can create and share it with the community at myOsmo! The platform allows you to easily build and download your own custom albums. For teachers, this is a great way to translate class material in an engaging way.

Osmo Numbers

With a counting, addition, concatenation and multiplication mode, there is a challenge for everybody. As kids get more confident in one mode, they can move on the the next one, allowing them to learn at their own pace.

osmo numbers

Numbers is a fun math game that players play with the Osmo number tiles. The goal is to fill up the tank with water and collect all the fish. There are 4 different modes that range from simple counting using dot tiles to more complex multiplication problems using numbered tiles. Again this just shows how the system will grow with a child through various math levels.

Kids arrange physical tiles, including dots and digits, to make numbers and complete levels. Add by putting more tiles, subtract by removing tiles and multiply by connecting tiles together. Experimenting becomes fast and intuitive. Kids play math without the pressure of time or the fear that they’ll get the wrong answer. Osmo’s real-time feedback lets kids learn through experimentation in a stress-free environment.

Osmo Masterpiece

Supercharge your drawing skills with Masterpiece. Pick any image from the camera, curated gallery or integrated web search and Masterpiece will transform it into easy to follow lines and help you draw it to perfection. You can then share a magical time lapse video of your creation with your friends and family

hello kitty osmo masterpiece

Masterpiece is a great tool to learn how to draw everything from objects around the house to pets and people. My girls love art and love to draw but they sometimes get intimidated by drawing things from their own minds. That’s why the both love Masterpiece. Simply use your iPad to take a picture of what you want to draw and Osmo will turn it into a lined drawing that you can draw. You can even adjust how simple or complex the drawing will be.

TIP- We found that the less shadow in the picture the easier it was to draw because Osmo will turn shadows into random lines in your drawing. We use a light to get rid of shadows when we’re taking pictures for Masterpiece.

drawing hello kitty

Once you take a picture in Masterpiece it turns it into a lined image. Then simply look at the screen and use your pencil on your paper to follow the lines and draw the picture. It is great for eye hand coordination. As you draw the lines you can see what you’re doing on the screen.

There is no limit to the images you can create with Masterpiece! There are also lots of templates in various categories that you can learn to draw such as animals, food, nature, and lots more plus you can search for images, too. My daughter has problems with handwriting and there is even a set of block letters and a set of cursive letters for children to practice with.

hello kitty final

When you are finished with your picture you can save the time-lapsed video of you drawing the image and even email it to someone. It’s fun to watch the video to see how the drawing was made.

Take a picture of anything you want, be it a friend, a toy or anything online. Masterpiece will transform it into simple outlines so you can draw it to perfection. Kids love to draw, but with the rise of smartphones and iPads, they increasingly dismiss pen and paper. With Masterpiece kids can combine their love of technology and drawing, while learning useful skills.

Why We Love Osmo

Both my girls are loving using Osmo. They are asking to use it instead of playing on their phones or watching tv. Both said it would be too hard to pick a favorite game because they are all fun. They enjoy the challenge and the variety of the games. It’s nice to have an electronic toy that you want your children to be playing on. I love that as a parent I set up an account and add each child as a user so I can track their progress in each game. I also love that my girls can play the games together, learn to work cooperatively, and they are learning while they are playing. It’s a win win all around! If you have an iPad and children you need this game!

WRECK-IT RALPHI am so excited for the announcement that Disney made yesterday. WRECK-IT RALPH is one of my all time favorite movies. I even had the opportunity to do a little voice over work on a press trip. Watch as I do the voice of Vanellope. So I can’t wait for the sequel to come out March 2018!

WALT DISNEY ANIMATION STUDIOS WELCOMES “WRECK-IT RALPH” BACK TO THE BIG SCREEN FOR A SMASHING SEQUEL

Original Voice Cast Members John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman Set to Return

Ralph Wrecks the Mobile Game Disney Crossy Road in Celebration of the Announcement

BURBANK, Calif. (June 30, 2016) – Wreck-It Ralph is heading back to the big screen, and this time, he’s wrecking the internet. The Oscar®-nominated Walt Disney Animation Studios team from the original film is reteaming for the follow-up, including director Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “The Simpsons”) and producer Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Bolt”). Phil Johnston (writer, “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Zootopia,” “Cedar Rapids”) joins Moore as director and a writer on the project. John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman return as the bad-guy-turned-good, Ralph, and the girl with the game-winning glitch, Vanellope von Schweetz. The untitled sequel will hit theaters—literally—on March 9, 2018.

The filmmakers and Reilly made the announcement on Facebook Live today.

“From the moment we started working on the first ‘Wreck-It Ralph,’ we knew there were so many possibilities with these characters,” said Moore, who has been developing it since shortly after the release of the first film, and while directing this year’s critically-acclaimed hit “Zootopia” with Byron Howard. “This time, Ralph’s wrecking wreaks havoc on the Web—as only he can do. Characters we loved in the first film are back and we are ecstatic to be working with them—and the actors who voice them—once again.”

“The world of the internet is the perfect place to send Ralph and Vanellope,” said Johnston. “The scope and scale are so vast and the possibilities for comedy are endless.”

“Ralph is a character very near and dear to my heart,” added Reilly. “I’m really looking forward to playing the big lug again. Making the first ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ was one of the most special experiences I’ve ever had and I’m really looking forward to bringing him back to life. So many kids I’ve met all over the world are excited to see him again, too. They tell me all the time!”

When “Wreck-It Ralph” opened on Nov. 2, 2012, it turned in the highest opening weekend ever for a Walt Disney Animation Studios film at the time of release. Nominated for an Oscar® and Golden Globe® for best animated feature, “Wreck-It Ralph” won the PGA Award for outstanding producer of an animated theatrical motion picture as well as five Annie Awards, including best animated feature, director, cast and screenplay. The film was named best animated feature by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, earned outstanding achievement in casting for an animated feature by the Casting Society of America, and won the Kids’ Choice Award for favorite animated movie.

DISNEY CROSSY ROAD WRECKED

At 12 p.m. PT today, Disney’s hit mobile game, Disney Crossy Road, will be wrecked by Ralph in celebration of the announcement. As fans play through the 12 different Disney and Pixar worlds of Disney Crossy Road, Ralph may appear and ‘wreck’ part of their gameplay.

“Wreck-It Ralph has been one of the most popular worlds to play in Disney Crossy Road, so it made perfect sense to celebrate Ralph’s return by letting him go outside his world and ‘wreck’ other parts of the game,” said Chris Heatherly, SVP & GM, Disney Apps and Games. “We are big fans of the first film, as are our players, and can’t wait to see how the next chapter unfolds.”

“GIGANTIC” DATE-CHANGE

The animated feature “Gigantic,” originally announced as Disney’s March 9, 2018, release, will be released on November 21, 2018.
