Do you have an old T-shirt that your child just can’t seem to part with? Why not make it into a tote bag with this easy craft.
First cut off the sleeves and collar. Use sharp scissors to get an even line. Folding the shirt in half vertically and cut both sleeves at the same time for more identical cuts. You can then either cut the bottom of the shirt off, too, or just tuck it up inside the shirt.
Turn the shirt inside-out and sew it across the bottom. If you don’t want to sew it you can also use iron-on fusible interfacing.
Turn the shirt back the right way and enjoy your new tote bag!

If you like playing games online, you’ll love this fun website I discovered called Crowdini.com. Crowdini is a FREE question and answer contest. Each day there is a new question for members to answer. The questions aren’t anything difficult. They are multiple choice questions like What is your favorite tea flavor? (black, green, or chamomile), When I go to lunch I usually have this to drink? (water, tea, soda, other), or Which is better? (M&Ms or Skittles).
If you choose the same answer as majority of the other users, then you move on to the next round and answer another question. The winner is the last person left. Every contest has a prize that ranges from electronics to services. They have given away iPad’s, cellphones, subscriptions and gift cards. If you didn’t pick the same answer as the majority of the other users picked, don’t worry, you’ll get to start a new contest with a new question.
Crowdini has become my new addiction. I love waking up in the morning to check my e-mail and see if I received an e-mail saying I answered with the majority and moved on in the contest from the day before or if I didn’t answer with the majority and I need to start in a new contest. So far the furthest I have gone is 3 days in a row. I am hoping to win on day but meanwhile it’s fun trying.

Garden Update #3

We started a garden almost 2 weeks ago and things are growing! Here’s what the garden started out looking like. We were able to harvest our first fruit today- two blueberries and a strawberry.
I brought them in the house, washed them, photographed them, and then somehow I threw away the paper towel they were wrapped in. DOH! So we didn’t even get to eat the fruits of our labor!

I have been a fan of My Little Pony since I was a little girl so I love that my own daughters are also My Little Pony fans. My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is an adorable series on The Hub TV Network and we enjoy it together. What We Thought-
We liked the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic- Princess Twilight Sparkle DVD because it was exciting that Twilight turned into an Alicorn which is a winged unicorn after she followed all of Princess Celestia’s lessons. My girls especially like watching the episodes on DVD because they don’t have to sit through commercials (as told by my 9 year old). As always these episodes focus on friendship, it is called Friendship Is Magic after all. They also really enjoyed the episode Mmmystery On The Friendship Express where Pinkie Pie and her friends help Mr. and Mrs. Cake get their cake to a dessert competition. The next morning Pinkie Pie found 3 bites taken out of the cake. But who took those bites? Watch the video to find out. Another favorite episode is Magic Dual because it features the wise zebra, Zecora. She speaks in rhyming riddles while trying to teach Twilight magic lessons to get stronger to have a rematch with Trixie and go back to Ponyville. This DVD is a must for any My Little Pony Fan.
