Star Wars day is coming up on May 4th- May the 4th be with you!!! In honor of Star Wars Day I have been given the opportunity to review Angry Birds Star Wars Millennium Falcon Bounce Game and Angry Birds Star Wars Foam Flyers.
The Angry Birds Star Wars Foam Flyers are fun 3.5 inch foam character heads that are fun to toss around and make great stress balls to squeeze when you’re stressed. They come in LUKE SKYWALKER, CHEWBACCA, DARTH VADER and STORMTROOPER. Each sold separately and are available for around $9.95.

The Angry Birds Star Wars Millennium Falcon Bounce Game is a fun bounce action game. The object of the game is to bounce the ping pong ball characters on the table and then into the Millennium Falcon to knock over the enemy pigs. If your ball lands in the Millennium Falcon or in the cockpit you earn even more points. There is some assembly required but it is easy. Make sure you know where you want the stickers to go because once you stick them, they will tear if you try to remove them. We learned that the hard way on one of the sides but with a little tape it’s as good as new.

My girls had a lot of fun practicing to bounce the balls just right to have them knock over the pigs and land in the ship. The box lid doubles as a backboard and the game includes extra stickers to decorate it. Players can also unlock ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS in-app content with a special code in each pack. Approximate retail price is$19.99. This game says ages 8 and up but my 7 year old had a great time with it, too. It can be played with 1 or 2 people.

Yonanas Product Review and Giveaway #healthy #dessert Ends May 15th

P1130432 I’ve been looking for a healthy alternative to sugary snacks and desserts for my family. I was up late watching t.v. one night and I saw a product that caught my eye- Yonanas. Yonanas is a machine that makes healthy, frozen treats that look and taste like soft serve ice cream in minutes. Instead of sugar, cream, and other ingredients that are high in fat and sugar, Yonanas is made with nothing but frozen bananas and other frozen fruits. Yes, I said bananas and other fruits. I had to try this amazing machine for myself and it didn’t disappoint.

The machine is easy to use, only has a few parts, and therefore is also easy to clean. You start off with frozen bananas. What’s great is that the bananas need to be spotted brown and not yellow, green, or black. Now I don’t have to worry about not eating all the bananas in my house fast enough. When I only buy a banana or two, my kids end up wanted more. But if I buy more, then they somehow decide they don’t feel like eating bananas that week and they start to turn brown. Once those bananas get spotted brown, they are perfect for freezing for Yonanas so I am not wasting any more bananas. I have a baggie in my freezer that is where we keep our frozen bananas. When we are ready to make Yonanas we simply take a few out to defrost for about 10 minutes per the directions and we’re ready to go!

The machine is so simple (only has 1 button) that my children can use it (with supervision, of course).

Put a bowl in front of the machine, turn the machine on, and put a banana in the chute on top.

Use the plunger to push the banana down through the machine.

Next do the same with whatever other fruit or mix in you are using. Follow with another banana, more fruit, etc. until you make as much as you want. Stir it all together and that’s it!
It’s the bananas that make it so creamy and like ice cream. Don’t like bananas? You can also use the machine to make sorbet with other frozen fruits. Making sorbet with the Yonanas machine is just as delicious!
yonanas There are so many options with Yonanas. It includes a recipe book with lots of great ideas of combinations. Below you can see 3 of the many combinations that we tried. On top we made Yonanas with Nilla Wafers and bananas, on the bottom right we made Yonanas with Oreos and bananas, and on the bottom left we made Yonanas with mixed berries and bananas. They were all delicious but when we mixed the Nilla Wafters version with the mixed berry version it was like eating a berry pie. SO YUMMY!!!
P1130561 I love that my children are eating lots more fruit now and we haven’t had any sugary ice cream since we started using the Yonanas. If you are on Weight Watchers and only use fruit, your Yonanas creations will have ZERO POINTS!!! Eat as much as you want!!!
yonanas2 Yonanas is dishwasher safe but we’ve been using our daily so I have been hand washing it. There are only a few parts to clean so cleanup is quick and easy.

Need some extra energy in the morning? Looking to lose weight? This is the perfect Protein Power Smoothie for you!!

2 cups Chocolate Soy Milk
1 cup plain fat-free Greek yogurt
1 Small Banana
1 cup Frozen Strawberries
2 Tbs Honey
1 Tbs Wheat Germ

Combine all ingredients into blender, and blend until smooth! Super easy! Makes about 4 cups/ 2 servings

12g Protein
43g Carbs
3g Total Fat
0g Saturated Fat
4g Fiber
98mg Sodium

One of the first things I did when I found out I was pregnant was take a CPR class with my husband. P1130334 The Children’s Place is one of my favorite stores to buy clothes for my daughters. They always have beautiful clothes at great prices. I was excited to have the opportunity to check out their Summer line last week.
Childrens Place For girls the Summer line is bright and colorful. There are lots of sparkles and flowers which will make any little fashionista happy.Summer shoes for girls include gladiator sandals, flip flops, and jellies. Yes, jellies are back! Several of the bathing suit styles have reversible tops so girls get to choose which style they want to wear. There are plenty of cute hair bows, headbands, and other accessories including adorable hats. I love the The Children’s Place has so many adorable T-shirts including ones that have popular characters like Minnie Mouse, Hello Kitty, and more!Need something to wear while snuggling in bed? These pajamas and nightgowns are seriously precious. Many of the nightgowns include a matching hair tie, too.

The Children’s Place doesn’t leave the boys out. For summer there are lots of great things for boys. The boys’ Summer line includes lots of bright colors, button down dress shirts, and stripes. There are lots of pops of color in many of the items. One of my favorite items for boys is the line of adorable fedora hats. So cute!

There are lots of adorable shirts for boys, too. The Children’s Place has lots of great active wear options of boys including basketball shorts and other lightweight items. The Summer collection also features styles for the water, too. Boys can find rash guard tops, bathing suit bottoms and flip flop that all match. Love it!My girls are always asking me what time it is so I bought them these adorable watches. They have a flexible rubber band that is one size fits all so my girls don’t have to worry about dealing with adjusting a strap.My girls have plenty of dresses (although they were hard to pass up), but I chose this trip to get them what they need. I bought them EACH 2 night gowns, 2 pairs of regular flip flops, 1 pair of jelly flip flops, a bathing suit, and a towel wrap to use at the pool or after the shower. Between the great sale and regular prices and the 25% off coupon I had, I was able to get it all for $116. They were so excited when I came home with all the goodies. DIY Mini Activity and Games Tin

Do you have empty mint tins (Altoids) around your house or in your purse and you’re not sure what to do with them? Why not make a mini activity and games tin? Here are just a few fun ideas and what is great is that they fit so well in a purse, pocket, or backpack. You will need an Altoids tin and a package of magnetic sheets. No mater what game or activity you are going to turn your tin into, clean out the tin first and cover the top and bottom with cardstock to create a blank surface to play on.

Do you have daughters? Why not make magnetic dress-up dolls?

You can print paper dolls from this site here. They print the perfect size to fit into the mint tin. Purchase magnetic sheets to put the dolls and clothes on. You can print the dolls and clothes right on the magnetic sheet but you will have a lot of wasted space. I suggest you print them on regular paper, cut them out, peel back the protective paper on the magnetic sheets, and stick the dolls and clothes as close together on each sheet to avoid wasting space. Cut around the figures and viola! Magnetic paper dolls that stick well to the tin. Cute, aren’t they?
P1130531 I started making my own game boards for various games to fit inside our tin but then I found a site that already has great game boards done for you! Artists Helping Children has printable game boards that fit inside an Altoids tin. There is even a sheet of printable game pieces, too! Awesome!
Want to make a magnetic poetry set? Grab some old magazines and start cutting out words. This is a fun project to do with kids. Let them read the words before they cut them out. Once you cut the words out mount them on the magnetic sheet and cut them into individual magnets. You can even use this little tin for some learning games. Print out letters for your child to spell words and mount them on magnetic sheets. You can also have them match word endings like -at, -an, -ot, etc. and have them make words. Great of squeezing in a little learning on the go!
Print a set of numbers and math symbols your child can practice math problems.If you are combining various games and activities in one tin, try putting the pieces of each game in a separate little plastic baggie.

These are just a few of the ideas I have come up with. I am going to give my girls empty tins and see what they come up with, too.
