If you haven’t tried Mally Beauty you are missing out. I absolutely LOVE her products. I first saw Mally Roncal years ago when she was giving make-up and beauty tips on Rachael Ray. She is the go to make-up artist to many stars and decided to create her own line of cosmetics so all woman can look and feel gorgeous. I love watching Mally on QVC. She is so sweet and energetic as she shows how all women can use her products to look and feel their best. I first saw her line of “bullet proof” eye liners that stayed on all day and I knew I had to try them. I was so tired of my eye liners running down my face. Once I tried Mally’s products I was hooked.
I previously reviewed Mally’s eyeliners and I have been using her blush and eye shadow stick for a while but I hadn’t tried any of her face products. I felt like I hit the lottery when I was offered to review Mally’s Effortless Airbrush Perfect Skin Mousse, Evercolor Poreless Face Defender, and Volumizing Mascara. I don’t like wearing heavy foundations as they make me feel like I am wearing a mask. I love how light and airy the Effortless Airbrush Perfect Skin Mousse is. I picked it in the Medium shade and it blends perfectly with my skin leaving my completion smooth and flawless without feeling like I am wearing heavy makeup. It is simple to apply. Simply shake the can to add air to the product, press the button on top to apply a little product to the back of your hand, swirl the included professional brush into the product, and brush it all over your face. It glides on smooth and easily with high quality brush that comes with it making your face flawless.
The Evercolor Poreless Face Defender is an amazing product. Unlike regular finishing powders, it doesn’t settle in fine lines and wrinkles making them more visible. It actually hides and minimizes them while reduces shine and sets your makeup leaving your face smooth and even toned. It comes with a professional sponge to help apply it easily to your skin. Simply dab the sponge on the compact to get some of the product and pat it all over your face to mattify your makeup for a beautiful finish.
The Volumizing Mascara is great for making your eyelashes look long and thick without making them look gloppy. It features a combination of natural waxes and powders that give lashes an instant boost. The plush brush works with the powders in the formula to help thicken lashes without clumping and it is great for finding all your tiny lower lashes, too.

Easy Valentine’s Day Heart Hair Style

Making heart ponytails is a lot easier than it looks. I did hairstyle for both of my daughters for their school dance and they received so many compliments. Some of the moms thought that I had taken them to a salon to get their hair done. I can’t even do French braids so if I can do this, anyone can. (Note~ I took pictures of the completed hair styles before we left for the dance but forgot to take step by step pictures. So when we got back from the dance I took the pictures as I took their hair down so it was neater when I first styled their hair.)
***I recommend having their hair slightly damp to keep it all in place without flyaways. My younger daughter had just gotten out of the shower and I had to dry her hair a little to make it easier to work with.
1. Start by making a regular ponytail.
2. Loosen the pony tail and pull it back up through the middle. Using a Topsy Tail tool would have helped but I just used a pointy comb and my fingers. You could also make your own tool if you wanted to. I would think a few pipe cleaners twisted together would do the trick in a pinch.
3. Separate the ponytail into 2 sections. Twist the right section towards the right and the left section towards the left. I had my daughter hold one section as I twisted the other section. Then secure the ends with a ponytail holder.
4. Flip the 2 parts up into the shape of a heart. You can use bobby pins to hold in place but I didn’t need to use them in my girls’ hair it stayed pretty well for the dance.
My younger daughter had 2 ponytails while my older daughter said she was too old for 2 ponytails and opted for a half up half down ponytail hairstyle.

The Pore Cleaning Microdermabrasion System Review

WARNING- Oh the things I will do for my readers to show them a product I love. Even post barefaced pictures of myself right after I gave myself a microdermabrasion treatment, including pictures of the dead skin that was removed. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! 😉
I’ve never had a facial and truth be told, I used fall asleep before getting a chance to wash my face. I didn’t really have the best habits or a routine for facial skin care. And then time and age caught up with me. I never understood how someone could have skin that was dry and oily at the same time until I was looking on the horizon to 40. Now my forehead and cheeks are both really dry and yet oily at the same time. I’ve tried different scrubs, moisturizers, and lotions but nothing has helped. I didn’t really want to spend the money and the time to go for a professional facial or microdermabrasion so I was excited when Hammacher Schlemmer offered to send me The Pore Cleaning Microdermabrasion System available on their website to review.
I love how the entire system is housed in a sleek case so you don’t have to go searching for parts. The full sized mirror on the inside of the lid makes it easy to see your face as you are doing your treatment. It includes a year’s supply of 100 replacement filters as well as a cleaning brush, diamond-tip and suction tip. Unlike microdermabrasion kits that use crystals or peels, this system creates no messy residue and is safe for use all over the face, including the delicate under-eye region. It is so easy to use. There are 3 intensity setting so you can choose what is most comfortable to you. Select the intensity level and then just glide the diamon-tip wand slowly over the area you want to treat making no more than 3 passes over the same area. The natural diamond-tipped wand exfoliates the epidermis while vacuuming up built-up dirt, makeup, and other impurities- YUCK! Suggested use is three 10-minute treatments a week to remove dead skin cells while collagen and elastin are replenished. This makes your skin tone more even and reduces the appearance of enlarged pores, age spots, and wrinkles. Switch to the suction tip to create gentle suction that is powerful enough to deeply clean pores. I am amazed how much comes out of my pores using the suction tip.
It is hard to see just how dry my skin was before my treatment so I am not including the pictures but the skin on my forehead and cheeks was extremely dry and oily. I tried various moisturizers but nothing worked until I used the microdermabrasion machine. You can see the dead skin it removed and the pictures don’t even do it justice. It really removed a lot of dead skin and left my skin feeling incredibly smooth.
Above is a picture of the diamond-tip, the filter after 1 treatment, and a comparison of a new filter and the used filter to show how much it really works. Gross, YES! But pretty amazing that I am able to get these results at home in just 10 minutes! I love that I have the choice of selecting an automatic program that target cheeks, lips, forehead, eyes, and nose with one of three levels of intensity or I can manually set the machine to my personal intensity preference. The LCD panel shows the program selected and elapsed time, too. It is really a painless, easy way to get the skin you’ve always wanted and I have to say I am hooked. I love the way it makes my skin feel so much that I’ve made my family and friends touch my face. It really feels that good- like a baby’s bottom. (No jokes about my face and a baby’s bottom, ok?)
