I’m a busy mom with stick straight hair so I usually just wash it, blow dry my bangs, and I am out the door. I just don’t have time to blow dry it completely like I would like. Plus I have fibromyalgia so holding a hairdryer and moving my wrist back and forth can be painful some days. I was excited to learn about the revolutionary Kiss Tornado 360° dryer with a Patent-Pending 360° degree Rotating Air Booster. It saves time by drying hair faster with even heat distribution. This results in reduced spot damage. It also has Ceramic Tourmaline Technology which allows for longer-lasting frizz-free results. It has 2 speeds and 3 temperature setting plus a cold shot button to set your style.
My girls love sitting and having their hair dried after their shower but with 2 daughters with long hair it can be time consuming every night. The Kiss Tornado 360° dryer is lightweight and cuts our hair drying time because the tornado rotating attachment moves hair around, blowing warm air in between hair sections drying an area up to 4 times larger than conventional dryers. It eliminates the need to shake the dryer which helps save me from wrist pain. I have my girls flip their heads upside down and dry most of their hair that way because the dryer helps dry it quickly that way. Then towards the end I have them flip their head over and I finish drying their hair. It also comes with a bonus air concentrator for conventional, concentrated styling. The only thing I would change about the hair dryer is that while it does have a loop on the end to hang it, I don’t like to hang my hair dryers so I wish it had a retractable cord instead. We were also sent the Kiss Silicone Styler, a 1-inch flat iron with Ceramic Tourmaline and Silicone Technology. I have stick straight hair but my daughters have a little of their daddy’s curls to their hair. While her hair isn’t very curly, my 9 year old has been begging me to straighten her hair so she was excited when we received the Kiss Silicone Styler. I will admit that I don’t have much of a basis for comparison with this styler and other traditional flat irons since I have never had to use a flat iron on my hair and like I said, I’m lazy when it comes to my hair. But I can tell you that the Kiss Silicone Styler was easy to use. It has a dial to set the proper heat setting for your type of hair which is great so I wasn’t worried using it on my daughters hair. It might not seem like a big difference in the before and after picture but to a 9 year old it is a world of difference. It definitely made her hair smoother and shinier. The styler heats up in about 60 seconds which is great when you have a 9 year old who wants everything done YESTERDAY. It has two conditioning silicone bars embedded on both ceramic plates to minimize heat damage by cushioning hair and sealing the hair cuticle to retain moisture. It glided very smoothly and evenly as I moved it down my daughter’s hair. It has a swivel cord which made styling easier. I know it is possible to use a flat iron type styler to make curls but I haven’t tried yet. I plan on watching some YouTube videos to learn how and then you just might see a video of me curling my hair.

Disney Reigning Beauties Ariel Collection by Sephora
I am so excited for this collection. I won the nail polish set playing trivia at the dinner and the colors are so pretty. My favorite is the sparkly white which looks great by itself or over other colors. Sephora has an assortment of cosemetics, a signature fragrance, and other accessories inspired by our favorite red-headed mermaid. I love the attention to detail on the packaging. Handy Uses For Contact Lens Cases

I LOVE contact lens cases. They are so inexpensive, you can buy multiples in a package, and there are so many things you can store in them. One of my favorite things to put into a contact lens case is homemade lip gloss or lip scrub. I plan on writing up a post with that recipe soon so keep an eye out.
I purchased a package of contact lens cases last week to store essential oils in. I like to mix essential oils them with a carrier oil to help make the oils last longer and massage in easier. I didn’t want to use up a lot of each essential oil and carrier oil so I figured mixing a few drops of the essential oil with some carrier oil (olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, etc.) in a contact lens case would be perfect. It’s just the right amount for a few uses when I am using the oils. This way I don’t have to dilute too much of the essential oil at one time. I’ll be posting more on essential oils soon. I swear by them!
I am going to BlogHer (a blogger convention) this week and I will be gone for 3 nights. As I began to pack I looked over at the package of contact lens cases that I hadn’t used yet and inspiration hit me. Instead of traveling with the bottles of each cream, lotion, primer, etc. that I use on my face, why not just put some of each facial lotion, etc. in compartment of a contact lens case? Genius if I do say so myself! Of course for body lotion I would need a bigger container but since I just use a little bit of my day cream, night cream, primer, and Aquaphor, this is perfect and takes up so much less space!
I plan on adding more idea to this post but I wanted to get it up before BlogHer to help anyone else traveling this week. Have an idea on something to store in a contact lens case? Comment below!
A few notes:
- I always wash and dry the cases before I use them.
- I prefer the cases that have screw-on lids but this batch hubby bought. I am putting it inside a snack size baggie just in case it leaks because of the style of cap on them but they seem pretty tight.
DIY Skincare From Lemons

When you think about Lemons you probably think it’s just for eating, cooking or drinking probably. Well not any more! Lemons are great for MANY things!! My personal favorite is for my skin. Lemons won’t fix your skin overnight, but they can help treat certain problems and may even help prevent serious skin conditions.
Lemons are perfect for:
Tightening pores
Clearing up mild acne
Lightening acne scars
Leaving your face smooth and conditioned
Drying up oily skin
This is what I do daily after my shower:
Slice a lemon in half. Rub the lemon over my entire face, missing the eyes and lips. Let it dry for about 10-15 minutes. It will itch like crazy!! Then I rinse with warm water. Your skin will feel AMAZING after!! Not only is it CHEAPER than most skincare products, but it’s all natural. Try it out and let us know what you think…
Baudelaire Product Review

Do you have oily skin like I do? If so I found a great product for you. It’s a 2 in 1 oil absorbing primer and mask and it does just that- absorbs oil. Prior to trying Baudelaire my face would be oily soon after I left the house for the day. When I use Baudelaire as a primer it keeps my face oil free during the day and keeps my make-up in place. It is easy to apply. Shake the bottle and squirt a pump or two into the cap. It has the consistence similar to watered down skim milk. Using a make-up brush, apply a thin layer of the primer all over your face. What is nice about this product is a little goes a long way. You don’t need much to cover your whole face so the bottle will last a long time. Allow it to dry for about 5 minute and then I apply my make-up as usual.
When I have time (usually about once a week) I put a heavier coat of Baudelaire on my face and allow it to dry for 15 minutes. Once it is dry I simply wash it off with a warm washcloth. This mask removes all the oil from my face and leaves it feeling fresh and smooth. My face looks clear, fresh, and oil free. Baudelaire has improved the overall look and feel of my skin.
