The holidays have come to Build-a-Bear Workshop! Right now you can purchase fun holiday plush characters such as Rudolph, Clarice, and even The Grinch! There are so many different styles of cuddly friends to choose from. How cute are these bears dressed up as elves?They even have a section of clothes and accessories for Chanukah, too! I love the little plush dreidel that you can get to put in your new friend’s hand. And the Star of David sweater is adorable, too!
First choose the plush that you would like. It’s not always an easy decision with all the adorable choices. Each plush has the price on the sign in front of it. They usually start around $12. My daughters and I went last weekend and had a great time making new fluffy friends. One chose Clarice and the other chose an adorable puppy. The staff was so friendly and helped us every step of the way.
Once you pick your plush new friend you can also choose to add a sound inside as well as a special scent. My daughters made me a bear for Mother’s Day a few years ago and recorded a special message to me in their own voices. I love being able to push the button inside my bear to hear my special message. You can also choose from a list of special sounds, songs, and more. This time my daughters each decided to include a special scent inside their selected new friends. They both chose strawberry but there were several scents to choose from.
Next bring your new friend over to be filled. Step on the foot pedal and watch your new friend get full.Don’t forget the special heart ceremony. Watch our video to see ours.Next take your new friend over to the fluffing station for some brushing and fluffing. Choose what your new friend will wear and don’t forget the accessories! They even have pretend iPads and iPods. Have a Hello Kitty fan? They’ve got you covered with lots of Hello Kitty clothes and accessories.There are LOTS of different styles of clothing to choose from!My daughter is in Brownies so she was especially excited to see all the Girl Scout clothes there were. Baudelaire Product Review

Do you have oily skin like I do? If so I found a great product for you. It’s a 2 in 1 oil absorbing primer and mask and it does just that- absorbs oil. Prior to trying Baudelaire my face would be oily soon after I left the house for the day. When I use Baudelaire as a primer it keeps my face oil free during the day and keeps my make-up in place. It is easy to apply. Shake the bottle and squirt a pump or two into the cap. It has the consistence similar to watered down skim milk. Using a make-up brush, apply a thin layer of the primer all over your face. What is nice about this product is a little goes a long way. You don’t need much to cover your whole face so the bottle will last a long time. Allow it to dry for about 5 minute and then I apply my make-up as usual.
When I have time (usually about once a week) I put a heavier coat of Baudelaire on my face and allow it to dry for 15 minutes. Once it is dry I simply wash it off with a warm washcloth. This mask removes all the oil from my face and leaves it feeling fresh and smooth. My face looks clear, fresh, and oil free. Baudelaire has improved the overall look and feel of my skin. Targus Rolling Laptop Case Product Review

You should have seen me trying to get through the airport and through the airplane to get to my seat on my last business trip. I had a huge duffle bag filled with clothes and other items plus my laptop case. I had the hardest time trying to get down the narrow airplane aisle to my seat with both bags on my shoulder. I wish I would have this Targus 17.3” CityGear Travel Laptop Rolling Case that I was recently sent to try out. It has a place for everything with lots of compartments. There is a zipper compartment in front on the outside.
One of my favorite features is a hidden cup holder. There is a small zipper compartment on one side. Inside the compartment is a mesh cup holder with a drawstring closure. I really could have used the cup holder on my last trip. My hands were so full I had to throw my expensive cup of coffee away.

Let’s take a tour of the inside. There is a pocket that can fit an eReader or 10” tablet device, a zip-down workstation with pen loops, business card holders and a zippered mesh pocket for additional accessory items.

The next compartment offers easy access to a laptop up to 17 inches with room to store other accessories. There is also a zippered compartment in this section as well as ample padding and a section for your files.

The next section is my favorite. What makes this laptop case so special is the overnight section that can hold a change of clothes or two. This is perfect if you are only traveling for a few days and don’t want to spend a fortune to check your baggage. If packed/folded carefully I could pack several outfits in this section. There are also 2 pockets in this section to store undergarments and more.

There are 3 ways to carry this bag. You can carry it on your shoulder with the long, padded shoulder straps, hold it by the shorter, padded handles on the top, or pull it on it’s smooth-rolling polyurethane wheels with it’s aluminum 3-tiered locking handle. I love, love, love everything about this case and I am sure you will, too!!! I can’t wait to go on my next business trip!

Pony Royale Princess Ponies are a new line of adorable ponies that will delight girls. Each pony was born at the same moment as a baby princess and they both have matching royal birthstones. There are 12 Princess Ponies, one for each month. Each pony comes with extra interchangeable manes and tails so girls can mix and match to create new looks for their ponies. In addition to changeable manes and tails, each pony also has a crown, skirt, saddle, blanket, and more so there are many different parts to mix and match with other ponies. Each pony has an articulated head and can stand on it’s own for easy play.

The Pony Royale Dressing Carousel is the perfect compliment to playing with Pony Royale Ponies. There are places all over the Dressing Carousel to store all of the pony accessories. The pony skirts can be hung to make curtains. The Saddlette jewels can decorate the carousel as well. There are built-in ponies to hold the extra manes and tails. There is even a secret storage spot on the top to hold any extra accessories. It is long enough when opened up so several girls can play at once. My girls love playing and interacting with their ponies together. It’s nice to see them come up with new stories each time. They love the princess aspect and of course the jewels. They will be getting their birthstone ponies for their birthdays. Shhhhh, don’t tell them!

Check out the magical tale on the interactive website Pony Royale World. It invites girls to discover the magical land of Pony Royale and imagine that they are one of the princesses. With so many children sitting in front of game systems these days and not using their imaginations, it’s nice to see a line of toys that invite girls to do just that. Use their imagination for open-ended, imaginative play. Collect all 12 ponies for even more mix and match fun!

Here’s another fun arts and craft set that would make a great holiday gift. Tapeffiti by Fashion Angels is a tape art kit that comes with fun mini rolls of tape that have lots of different patterns and designs. You can decorate so many things with Tapeffiti. We had so much fun creating lots of different projects.
I decorated a pen while my daughters decorated a bookmark and designed the cover that the Tapeffiti Kit came in.
I love that you can recycle things with Tapeffiti. I cut the top off of a bottle of water, wrapped Tapeffiti, around it, and created a pencil holder. You can turn trash to treasure. Anything can get a new life and look beautiful when you use Tapeffiti to design it. Wrap an old plastic fashion bracelet and make it look new. What about creating a picture frame? So many ideas!

My daughter had a project for school and needed to decorate a box. Instead of painting or coloring, she covered the entire lid with rows of Tapeffiti and it looked beautiful. There really are so many uses for Tapeffiti and as a mom I love that it is a clean project that you really can take anywhere. It’s great for car trips, too.

Color Rox Hair Chox Product Review

What little girl (or big girl) doesn’t like getting glammed up and adding some fun colors to their hair? We found Color Rox Hair Chox by Fashion Angels and it’s been so much fun. Color Rox Hair Chox are temporary hair color “chox”.

They have easy to hold grips that keep your hands clean. My girls were able to use them by themselves so it’s easy for children. Simply section off part of your hair and rub the chox through your hair. It’s almost like using the side of a crayon to color. Go as basic or as bold as you want. Don’t worry, it washes out the next time you shampoo. My girls had fun experimenting with different colors. Color your hair in your school colors or for your favorite team.

Our set also included beads, a plastic threader, and colorful rubber bands to add beads to their hair. Again even my 6 year old was able to thread the beads onto her hair. Overall it was lots of fun. Much easier than any other temporary hair color that we’ve tried.

Gelarti Product Review and Giveaway

My girls were so excited when we received 2 packages of Gelarti to review- a mermaid ocean scene pack and a forest creatures scene pack. We love doing art in our house so this was perfect. Gelarti are fun paint and decorate peel off stickers. Each sticker is made up of a raised black outline. Use the gel paint pen to color inside the sticker. You can choose one color per section or you can swirl and marble several colors together. Allow your creations to dry for 6 hours and then it’s time to decorate.
You can put Gelarti on any smooth surface. My girls put theirs on the window to look like stained glass. They also created scenes all over their bedroom doors. I didn’t mind because they peel right off and can be stuck somewhere else without damaging their doors.

Gelarti can be put on so many surfaces such as computers, cellphones, books, notebooks, fishtanks, boxes, and so much more! I love that Gelarti is not a messy project. My girls were able to paint their Gelarti stickers with little mess which is saying a lot for my girls. 😉
We love it so much that we’ve already bought another larger set that includes even more stickers and gel paint colors.

We were lucky to be sent a Furby to review from Kmart. We wanted to watch 2 Furbies interact with each other so I purchased a second one for my other daughter and I am glad I did. These Furbies are so adorable and even more adorable when they interact with each other. Don’t tell my kids but I’ve been playing with them when they are at school. Shhhh! They are too cute and I can’t resist! Check out our video below to see them in action!

My daughters love watching Furby’s eyes change as they express different emotions. Furbies speak their own language until they start to learn English from you. The more you interact with Furby the more their personalities will change and the more English they will learn. You can go to the Furby website to print out the Furbish to English Dictionary. If you have an iPad or an iPhone there is also an app that you can use to interact with your Furby. Furby is going to be one of the hottest toys of this holiday season!
