Introducing the Flutterbye Fairy which was chosen by kids as one of Wal-mart’s Top 20 toys this holiday season.  My girls were so excited to receive a Flutterbye Fairy to review.  We installed the batteries into the base and charged up the fairy as directed on the instruction booklet.  Once our fairy was all charged up we switched her to the on position, pushed the button on her base, and up she flew.  Our first few test flights were a little rough.  She hit the ceiling and crash landed several times.  Luckily her head is made of a soft. spongy material that can take the bumps.  My girls were a little frustrated at first because they had a hard time flying their fairy without it hitting the ceiling but I had them stick with it.  I knew it would just take a little practice.  Once they got the hang of flying the fairy it was much easier.

They figured out the trick is to move your hand away from under the fairy when it is getting too close to the ceiling.  The fairy will then float down to them and they can put their open palm under the fairy again to send it back up in the air again and again.  Both of my girls said they are glad that they were patient and learned how to fly their Flutterbye Fairy easily.  Now they love playing with their fairy and having her fly around our house.  Even our dog, Cooper, likes to watch our Flutterbye Fairy flying through the air.  Just keep practicing and you’ll get the hang of it, too!
