Scotties has launched their fourth annual TREES ROCK! Contest. This is a contest that encourages kids to share why they think trees rock. Individuals or groups of kids in grades 3 through 8 can submit a video or essay about the importance of trees. Cool, right? A national vote will determine the winner! That individual will receive $10,000 for their school to use towards a sustainable project! And as if that wasn’t enough, there are $7,000 worth of prizes set aside for finalists too. Score!
This is a great way to get kids excited about the environment and doing something sustainable in their community! Wouldn’t this be a great addition to your school and community? And a great accomplishment for school age children. Be sure to get your entries in by November 14, 2014 for the video contest or February 6th, 2015 for the essay contest!
