We have needed a fax machine and scanner in our house for a while. We have a great HP black and white laser printer for our daily black and white printing but I’ve really wanted a color printer for a while since I have been sending things to my neighbor to print them for me when I needed something printed in color. Plus I was tired of running to my father’s house when I needed to fax something and heading to another neighbor’s house when I needed something scanned. I was all over the place! So I was extremely excited when I was offered the HP® Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Printer to try-out and review.
I’ll admit that I saw from the reviews that it was a great printer but when I agreed to review it I didn’t realize just how great this printer is. I knew it was a scanner and a fax machine. I didn’t really care too much about the other features at first. I figured it would solve my problem of having to run all over the place when I needed one of these functions. Once I started using the HP® Officejet 6700 I was amazed at everything this baby does. I love that I can scan documents and choose exactly which of our computers we want the documents sent to. I can also send the scanned images to my e-mail as well. How cool is that? And the fax feature sends the pages at a rate of 3 seconds per page. That’s fast! I love that this printer is wireless. We do have an old color printer at home but I never use it because it isn’t wireless so hooking up to it and printing is a pain. Plus this printer prints on both sides of the page which is a great bonus. The 250 page paper tray is great because I don’t have to refill it often. The LCD touchscreen is easy to use and with the “back” button, it’s hard to make a mistake.
Another cool feature of the HP® Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Printer is that it has it’s own web address. You can easily print from a variety of mobile devices on the go with HP ePrint. I love that I can print from my smartphone or tablet from virtually anywhere. Imagine being able to print a coupon, an e-mail, a photo, and more from your smartphone when you aren’t even home. The next time I go on a trip without my children I’ll be able to take pictures and print them at home for them to see before I even get home. I love that!
All of those features are great but I think my favorite features are the ones I discovered while playing around with it. This printer has lots of really cool apps. I was able to print lots of cool sheets from Disney including recipes, games, party ideas, and more. There are also daily crossword games I could print, menus, and news. As a parent I love that there are also educational games and sheets, too. I was even able to print handwriting paper for my daughter right from the printer as well as math sheets. Amazing!

I currently own an hp printer. When I worked for the state of FL that all they bought were HP printers. Long lasting, dependable machines.

All-In-One printers are GREAT! We use cell phones so we don’t have a home phone, but just in case this info helps anyone else, I was having to run to my mother-in-laws house every time I needed to fax anything even though we had a machine capable of doing it. We got MagicJack phone service and it works with my All-In-One! It only costs us $20/year and it’s totally worth that for the faxing alone!

I use the magic jack as well for faxing. Apparently they have a new version that just plugs into the wall without the need for an internet connection. The Wall Street Journal did a review of the Magic Jack several years ago and that is what prompted me to buy one. They really are great.
I think my favorite features would be the kids features.
we love HP printers! Ours is a few years old now & has a touch screen, but no apps ;( Can’t wait till it dies so we can get this one!!! 😉

This seem like it is a good printer, has a lot of good features, easy to use, If I was buying I would consider it. I always buy the HP brand, The computer I have now is also a HP. I really like that company. Each one I have had has been good at performing and lasts longer than expected

Every time I buy an all in one I can never get the fax to work correctly. I always hear from the person I am sending to that the fax is incomplete. Maybe I should try this one.

I’ve never had any brand but HP for my printer. I really like their printers. This printer sounds amazing! I love that it not only prints from your computer, it also faxes and scans.. and on both sides. I also love that it’s wireless. I really would love one like that. My HP printer isn’t wireless and is hooked up to my desktop so I’m screwed if I want to print from my iPad or my laptop. Thanks for the great review!

Wow! It’s amazing how advance printers are these days! I remember back then it’d take forever for a printer to print out a one page essay I would write for a school report lol. This is very neat! Thanks for the review!
We have an HP too.., love it. It is super fast, but only prints in b&w. Would be awesome to be able to print in color, may have to look into this one : o)

Wow, that printer looks like it does everything! I’m a little wary of everything printers though. I’ve personally owned 2, and both of them have had rather short lives. HP is a really good brand, and it looks like it prints beautifully. Thanks for the review 🙂

Looks like a nice printer for when we need to replace ours. I love having a color printer and scanner for kids’ school work and other paperwork, and having a fax in addition would be even better!

My dad bought an all-in-one printer for his business. It’s amazing. Hubby & I are thinking of getting one for ourselves. We also have MagicJack phone service and it works great. We signed up for the 5-year plan and only pay $70. We travel frequently and take our MagicJack and phone with us.
