Posy Lane Duffle Bag Review

Totally LOVED the look on my daughters when she opened her personalized hot pink and zebra print duffle bag from Posy Lane! It fits perfectly with her style and personality.

This very unique bag is perfect for all of her needs. Seems to be super durable and made from a strong nylon type fabric, and folds up to almost nothing so it doesn’t take up much room. This is now her new favorite duffle bag to take anywhere and everywhere. She uses it for her soccer games, over-night stays with friends, or just a car trip filled with her favorite activities. Because she is so active, I have washed this gorgeous bag a few times in the washing machine and it has held up wonderfully.

When ordering her bag the process was super easy to do! I picked the color, design and even customized her name the way I wanted. This is super important to me, because having a name like “Nevaeh” you can’t just walk into a store and find things as easily as you could with a more common name. It makes her feel so special to know that it is just HER bag and she loves to show it off.

I feel like these duffle bags are perfect for any age or use. They also make a great gift idea for any occasion. I think you should take a look at Posy Lane and all they have to offer. They really do have something for everyone!

Super YUMMY Holiday Wreaths!! A few simple ingredients and no baking, what more could you ask for?
This is what you will need:
1 Stick of butter
30 Large marshmallows (about 3/4 of a bag)
4 Cups of Corn Flakes
Green food coloring

In a medium saucepan melt butter and marshmallows together on a medium heat, stirring frequently

While that is melting, put the Corn Flakes in a large bowl

After the marshmallows and butter have fully melted, add 15-20 drops of food coloring to the creamy mixture

Poor the hot mixture over the Corn Flakes and stir quickly, making sure they are fully covered

Arrange onto wax paper in a “wreath” type shape. I found using a large spoon was less messy. Decorate as you like! I used red and green glitter sprinkles

Apple Pie Rollups Recipe

So out of boredom/hunger for something yummy (but not much to work with in the cupboards) I decided I would try something new, and oh goodness did it change my life forever. Not really even sure what to call them, but I think something along the line of apple pie rollups sound pretty amazing 🙂

This was what I used:

1 Roll of Crescent Rolls
1/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon
2 Apples sliced into wedges

Nothing fancy by any means…

Lay out the crescents in triangle form on a greased baking sheet so that the whole roll fits

Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over all of the rolls and then repeat with the cinnamon. Place 1 apple wedge on each triangle

Roll into crescent shape and bake at 425f for 10-12 minutes. Let cool for at least 5 minutes (yes it will be hard) but necessary as the apple will be VERY hot. ENJOY! These didn’t even last 10 minutes at my house…

While browsing around on Amazon today I found this amazing deal on baking sheets

Check out the 2013 line up below:
March 8:
 OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL

Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam
Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character. When
Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics,
is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit
the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets
three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda
(Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s
been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz
and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is
too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even
a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but
into a better man as well.
When small-time magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco) pulls one flimflam too
many, he finds himself hurled into the fantastical Land of Oz where he must
somehow transform himself into the great wizard—and just maybe into a better
man as well.

May 3: IRON MAN 3 (Marvel Studios)

his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his
ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back,
Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does
the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce,
Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben
Kingsley, Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay

Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t

Screaming with laughter and fun, “Monsters University” is directed by Dan
Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”) and produced by Kori Rae
(“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”). The film opens in U.S. theaters on

Q”) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (“In Transit”), “Frozen” journeys into theaters November 27,
2013, in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.

December 20: SAVING MR. BANKS

Two-time Academy Award®–winner Emma Thompson and fellow double Oscar®-winner Tom Hanks topline Disney’s “Saving Mr. Banks,” inspired by the extraordinary, untold backstory of how Disney’s classic “Mary Poppins” made it to the screen.
When Walt Disney’s daughters begged him to make a movie of their favorite book, P.L. Travers’ “Mary Poppins,” he made them a promise—one that he didn’t realize would take 20 years to keep. In his quest to obtain the rights, Walt comes up against a curmudgeonly, uncompromising writer who has absolutely no intention of letting her beloved magical nanny get mauled by the Hollywood machine. But, as the books stop selling and money grows short, Travers reluctantly agrees to go
to Los Angeles to hear Disney’s plans for the adaptation.
For those two short weeks in 1961, Walt Disney pulls out all the stops. Armed with imaginative storyboards and chirpy songs from the talented Sherman brothers, Walt launches an all-out onslaught on P.L. Travers, but the prickly author doesn’t budge. He soon begins to watch helplessly as Travers becomes increasingly immovable and the rights begin to move further away from his grasp.
It is only when he reaches into his own childhood that Walt discovers the truth about the ghosts that haunt her, and together they set Mary Poppins free to ultimately make one of the most endearing films in cinematic history.
Disney presents “Saving Mr. Banks,” directed by John Lee Hancock and produced by Alison Owen, Ian Collie and Philip Steuer. Executive producers are Paul Trijbits, Andrew Mason, Troy Lum and Christine Langan. The screenplay is by Kelly Marcel from a story by Sue Smith and Kelly Marcel. The film will release in U.S. theaters on December 20, 2013.

A New Kind of Christmas Movie to Check Out! 3 Fun Christmas Movies to Watch With Your Family!

Nothing gets me more in the mood for Christmas like a great Christmas movie! This year we added a few more classics to the collection. Let me tell you about 3 of my favorites this year. They are kind of non-traditional, so maybe that’s why they seem so exciting.

First is “Chilly Christmas

Super cute movie about a boy and his best friend, his dog Chilly Christmas. He received him as a gift from his dad, but little did they know they were up for some major challenges to stay together. Apartment training, mischievous puppy, and dognapping just to name a couple. A great movie that shows you with a little bit of team work, and a lot of love in your heart you can accomplish anything! Much different from the usual snowy Christmas, as this movie takes place on the beach in sunny California.

Next on my list of favorites is “The Dog Who Saved The Holidays

Perfect family movie and all animal lovers! Super cute movie about family, Christmas and THIEVES… Nothing like talking dogs to warm your heart and save the day! This movie is jammed packed full of action and surprise to keep you on your toes, while wondering what is going to happen next. In the end; a family that works together always comes out on top. “The Dog That Saved The Holidays” has all of my favorite things. Family, traditions, and holiday spirit.

And last on my list is “Elf Man

This movie is all about a new kind of hero, and just like the title says it’s Elf Man! With a kidnapped dad, 2 kids are left to figure out how to save him from trouble. With a little help from Santa and one elf who never really knew his full potential they work out a plan to save the day. This is a super cute, never a dull moment kind of movie. Full of twist and turns you really never know what could happen. This is why it is now a must watch on my Christmas movie list.
