We all know that celebrities look fabulous at all times because they have personal stylists to tell them what to wear. They have makeup artists to ‘put their face on’. They have hair stylists to give them healthy looking tresses. Most of us don’t have these luxuries, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look great in celebrity inspired clothing. These 10 trends that I think are versatile and can be worn by just about anybody:
1. The Bandage Dress
The bandage dress is a great choice of going out dress because it looks so luxurious. Not only that, but because of the way it’s made it can suck you in in all of the right places. Many people find that they look much slimmer in a bandage dress. Kim Kardashian eat your heart out! Pair with a pretty purse for a night out with the girls.
2. Leather Trousers
Leather trousers might seem a little scary to you, but there’s no reason you can’t pull them off if you’re feeling brave. Wear with a casual top, or even a jumper to dress them down a little. On your feet, wear sneakers or boots! I like to use apps to help me when I’m not sure how to pull something off. Something like JustFab might help you too!
3. Faux Fur Jackets
The faux fur jacket is a must have this year, and looks so luxurious on. All you need to do is stand up straight and smile to look confident in a garment like this.
4. Checked Shirts
Checked shirts are the perfect casual piece of clothing. Whether you’re spending the day at home or going to do the food shop, anybody can pull off this shirt. Wear it buttoned up, buttoned down with a t-shirt underneath, or tied around your waist for a grunge look!
5. Ripped Jeans
Ripped jeans add a casual feel to an otherwise dressy outfit. Wear a dressier top to mix things up a little!
6. Leather Jackets
Leather jackets are always a style essential. Black is a good choice as it’s so versatile, but you can even find pastel colors these days.
7. Trench Coats
The trench coat is the perfect dressy coat. Wear it when you want to look glamorous but inconspicuous to make an impression. You can wear this for drinks, on a date, or even to an interview. Think of Olivia Palermo when you wear yours.
8. Knee High Boots
Knee high boots don’t need to make you look like you’re waiting on a street corner. Wear them with a long, casual jumper to tone down the boots, or even a shirt dress.
9. Fedora Hats
I think every single celebrity owns a fedora hat. These hats look great when dressed up or down, so you have a lot of choice when it comes to styling them.
10. Parka Jackets
A more casual coat, very 90s in style. The 90s are back in a big way, so you’re probably spotting parka coats everywhere right about now. Top model Cara Delevingne loves them!
