Getting married is one of the biggest things that you can do in your adult life. But, it can also be insanely stressful. It’s time to take a step back and relax. Getting married should be about fun and love, not stressing about the small stuff. When it comes to your wedding day, you want to make sure that everyone is suitably dressed.

There are some great ways that you can ensure that everyone has the right attire. It’s all about thinking about your theme, your key ideas and finding the right clothes to suit everyone’s shapes.

Finding a Bridal Gown

Finding the ideal bridal gown can be a daunting task. But, it doesn’t need to be that way. The key is to take heed of the advice of the bridal store owner. They are an excellent resource when it comes to finding the right dress for you. Think about your body shape and what bits you would like to show off or cover up. Think about jewels or plain gowns. If you are usually quite plainly dressed, going for all out sparkles may look odd. You need to make sure that you are finding a dress that suits your everyday style. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you should not try on every single kind of dress in the store. Try dresses on that you previously would not have considered. The key is to keep an open mind, and the right dress will come along.

Another pro tip is to make sure that you get a dress that fits you. So many ladies choose gowns that are too small in the hope that they will get them. Don’t do this! Get a dress that fits you. You can always take it in if you lose weight.

The Groom (He Needs an Amazing Suit)

The groom is important too. But, think about his comfort and his overall style before deciding for him. The top hat and tails look is not for everyone. So, choose a simple yet elegant three-piece style if his look is more laid back. He needs to be comfortable after all.

Dressing Bridesmaids and Flower Girls

Bridesmaids are known to bicker about their dresses. Nip that in the bud. It’s your day, and you should have what you want. Trying to get everyone to suit the same style is not going to work. But, opt for the same material and colour of the dress for a cohesive look. That way, everyone will look fabulous but have the right styles that flatter their figure. When it comes to flower girl dresses, always choose a white color and incorporate a sash with your colour theme. Little girls never truly suit block colour. White and cream tones are the way to go.

The Best Man

The best man, typically, has a suit that matches the grooms. But, if you are not keen on this, request that he hires their own suit. Make sure that he wears a suit that ties in with your theme. So, if your theme is blue and yellow, as that he wears a blue suit with a yellow tie. It’s a simple way to include them in your wedding theme, without having to spend a fortune.

The wedding invitation is the first glimpse into your wedding day. You want it to be the embodiment of what your big day is all about. With this in mind, choosing the right invitation can strike fear into the hearts of many betrothed couples. With such a vast choice available, it can be a complicated process. After all, you want it to be nothing short of perfect. Your invitations are a key part of your big day. Without them, people won’t be in attendance.

Stop. Relax. Stop panicking. You can find the perfect invitation that leaves a lasting impression on all of your guests. What’s more, it can fit the tone and style of your wedding easily.

Theme

Choosing the theme of your invite, should be a reflection of what your day is all about. Are you having a vintage affair with tea and bunting? Are you going for a glamorous princess inspired theme? Whatever your theme is, your invites should be a reflection of this. Incorporate the flowers that you have chosen for your bouquet into your invitation. This is a sure fire way of ensuring that people are aware of what they should wear to your event. After all, if you are going for bohemian chic, your guests may feel out of place in a tailored suit. The theme of your invite should reflect the theme and colors of your big day.

Budget

Money matters, when it comes to organizing any aspect of the wedding day. You need to have the perfect theme in place. But, you also need to ensure that you are not blowing the budget with 3D cutouts and tissue lined invitations. Think about the amount of invites that you need. Cost up how much all of these will be overall. You also need to consider save the dates and thank you cards in a matching theme too. It may be best to go for a simpler, flat style invite if your budget does not allow for something fancier. But, invites on a budget don’t have to look dull. In fact, there are some great styles that you can choose from.

Design

There are many designs of wedding invite. Paper Themes have said that the most popular is the flat, postcard style invitation. You can opt for a folding, brochure style of invite. Pocket fold invitations are hugely popular too. Pocket fold style invites are great for couples who have a lot of information for their guests. Including menus, hotel details and so forth is made easier with this style. If you have a set menu and all your friends live in the local vicinity, opting for a classic invitation may be best. A two-fold invitation that’s tied together with a ribbon is nothing short of adorable.

Vendor

Choosing the perfect vendor can be tough. But, there are a plethora of online retailers. Seek out samples of what you like. These may be charged at a nominal fee. Get a feel for the vendor by ordering samples and checking out Google reviews.

Corelle is a brand that has a long history of being elegant and well loved but I learned so much more about its products and history at an event in Miami this week.  Corelle is part of the same company as other familiar brands that include Pyrex, CorningWare, Baker’s Secret, Snapware, and Chicago Cutlery.  I’m sure most people have at least one item from one of these companies in their kitchen.  Did you know that Chicago Cutlery was one of the first companies to offer a knife block for their products?  Neither did I!

Over the years Corelle hasn’t changed much besides the patterns they offer because why mess with what works!  Speaking of patterns, there are between 75-100 patterns of Corelle available at any given time so they have something for everyone.  They are so beautiful and elegant that you can even use them as accent pieces to decorate with.  In 2005 they introduced their first non-round plates.  I love their square plates!  And in 2008 they came out with a line of baking dishes.  The baking dishes are 50% lighter than ceramic baking dishes which makes taking hot food out of the oven so much easier.  Even if you don’t have their baking dishes, you can still bake with Corelle.  All of their dinnerware can be used to bake in an oven preheated to up to 350 degrees!  Who knew?!?!
corelle9Corelle is not only lighter than ceramic tableware but it also saves space.  The same number of Corelle plates and bowls takes up much less space than ceramic plates and bowls.  What would you do with extra cabinet space?  I know I for one would love extra space in my cabinets.  Plus, because they are so break and chip resistant, children can help wash and put them away and you don’t have to worry about them being too heavy.  Corelle also uses less packaging in their boxes because their dishware fits so well together in the box.  Every bit to help the environment.  I love that!

Prior to attending this event I really didn’t realize just how durable Corelle is.  My sister has Corelle dishes but she doesn’t have children.  I had always wrongly assumed that I couldn’t have Corelle in my house because I have 2 small children.  I have always loved how Corelle looked but I just thought they just wouldn’t work in my house.  I am so glad that I found out just how wrong I was!
Corelle is made in the U.S. and the only company that makes its products out of exclusive Vitrelle material for durability.  They are made of 3 layers of glass and subject to a 6 foot drop test.  It is not impossible to break them but they are break and chip resistant. They are backed by a 3 year limited warranty.  Corelle is not only durable and elegant but they also are very easy to clean.  They are fully finished unlike some ceramic dishware with flat, unfinished rings on the bottom.  This makes them not only easier to clean but since the bottoms are finished they are smooth and won’t scratch your table either.  My kids have a habit of pushing plates and bowls on the table so I like that Corelle won’t scratch it.  I am so excited to know that Corelle doesn’t have to be just for elegant dining and I can use them everyday with my family!
corelle boutique
There are so many styles of Corelle patterns to choose from.  Some people like to mix and match styles and colors which is such a fun look.  Corelle recently came out with a new line called Boutique by Corelle.  It comes in 2 embossed patterns- Swept which are feature round plates and Cherish which feature square plates.  Both patterns are on solid white plates so they go with any color themed room, mix well with other patterns, and are great for casual or elegant dining.
Corelle makes a great addition to any bridal registry.  Their dishware comes in sets of 16- 4 dinner plates, 4 dessert plates, 4 bowls, and 4 mugs.  The Boutique by Corelle lines also feature additional serving pieces you can add to your set.  If you need just extra plates or extra bowls to add to your set you can purchase them separately, as well.
Speaking of bridal registries, the month of May is National Wedding Registry Month and Corelle is having a wonderful giveaway.  The grand prize is that Corelle will pay for the winner’s entire registry.  You can find our more about this giveaway on Corelle’s Facebook page.  If you are already married you can renew your vows, start a registry, and enter, too!  If you are in the NYC area make sure to check out the rooftop party that Corelle and The Knot are throwing on May 14th in Manhattan.
As part of the event that I attended, I received my own set of Boutique by Corelle dishes in the Cherish pattern (my favorite!).  Corelle is also generously giving away a 16 piece set of Boutique by Corelle to one of my lucky readers.  The winner even gets to pick their favorite pattern- Swept or Cherish!
