We received an Action Shot Digital Video Camera to review and my girls are having so much fun with it. This special small video camera mounts to your helmet, bicycle handle bars, skateboard, or one of many other places to capture all the action. It shoots 60 frames per second with it’s QVGA 24mm lens. You can not only take amazing, bird’s eye view action videos but it also works as a still photography camera as well to caption all the action in the moment.
We live in South Florida so there is no skiing, snowboarding, etc. here but this camera would take some amazing extreme videos when worn while doing any of the winter sports. You can mount it on your surfboard while surfing (with the additional waterproof case and special mount). Imagine how awesome those videos would be!
You can easily edit your videos with FREE online software. Then share your videos with friends and post them online.
There are additional accessories you can purchase such as the special mounting kit that contains an angled mount to mount the camera to a skateboard, a bike mount, and a mount for surfboards. They also have a waterproof case, a high impact case, and even a video viewer to instantly view your videos. We don’t have the video viewer so we have to wait until I attach the camera to my computer with the USB attachment but I think that is part of the fun. My girls like taking the videos and then being surprised when we get home and upload them to the computer.
The Action Shot Digital Video Camera is great for anyone ages 7+ (which some adult help to properly mount it). It is especially fun with extreme sports such as surfing, snowboarding, etc. but the videos are fun even if you are just riding your bicycle or even doing cartwheels as our video will show.

Monsters Inc. Is Even Better In 3D- Screaming Into Theaters December 19th #DisneyMoviesEvent
I can’t wait! Monsters, Inc. is coming to theaters December 19th in 3D!!!! I am a HUGE Disney fan and Monsters, Inc. is one of my favorite movies. I even painted a canvas of the main characters, Mike and Sulley, a few years ago. When my daughter was younger we used to put her hair in 2 pigtails and call her Boo.
When I went to Los Angeles a few months ago on a Disney press trip I was so excited when I found out we were going to be screening the 3D version of Monsters, Inc. and it didn’t disappoint.
Monsters, Inc. is the story of company in the town of Monstropolis. Monsters, Inc. produces the power for the whole town by collecting the screams of human children. Children are getting harder to scare and therefore there is scream shortage. All of the scarers including the top scarer, James P. Sullivan aka Sulley (John Goodman) and his assistant Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) try to collect as many screams as they can by coming out of the closets of human children and scaring them. Ironically, the monsters are all scared of human children, thinking they are toxic.
One day a door gets left on the scare floor and a young girl comes through it. Sulley finds the girl, names her Boo, and takes her home until he can figure out what to do with her. That is when Mike and Sulley realize that human children are not a threat to monsters. During the course of the movie it is touching to see the bond between Sulley and Boo grow. While trying to get Boo back safely through her door and into her home, Mike and Sulley stumble upon the scheme to use a scream extractor to torture children and get their screams. In case you haven’t seen Monsters, Inc. I won’t tell you how it ends. 😉
Whether you’ve seen Monsters, Inc. already or not, check it out in 3D when it comes to theaters on December 19th. Watching it in 3D adds an extra element that draws you into the action. There is just something about watching in 3D, feeling like you are part of the movie, and can almost touch the characters. It’s one not to miss! I’ll be taking my kids, that’s for sure!

What We Think-
What’s not to love about Finding Nemo? Finding Nemo is one of my family’s favorite Disney movies. It tells the tale of what happens when a clownfish, Nemo, gets scooped up by a diver when he is rebelling against his father and showing off for his friends. His father, Marlin (Albert Brooks), goes to great lengths to find his son. Along the way in the Great Barrier Reef Marlin meets lots of new friends, including Crush the 150 year old sea turtle, and faces lots of challenges from sharks to jellyfish. My favorite character in this film is Dory, voiced by none-other than Ellen DeGeneres. She’s not the brightest fish, but her happiness is contagious.
While Marlin is trying to find Nemo, Nemo gets put into a fish tank at a dentist’s office where he meets lots of new friends including a starfish, a puffer fish, and a shrimp. His new friends work to get their tank dirty so the dentist will have to take them all out of the tank to clean it. That will be Nemo’s chance to escape. Will Nemo escape? Will Marlin find Nemo? I’m sure most of you have already seen this classic story, but I won’t tell then ending in case you have been living in a cave since 2003. 😉
Finding Nemo is a great family movie for every age. It’s one of the few movies that I don’t mind watching over and over again. If you have a 3D Blu-Ray player, be sure to get the 3D version that has now been released so you can really feel like you are underwater with Nemo, Marlin, and the rest of the ocean gang. Remember- Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming!

What We Think- The Odd Life of Timothy Green is a heartwarming film to share with your whole family. In this story a couple who cannot conceive a child on their own, Cindy (Jennifer Garner) and Jim (Joel Edgerton) Green, write down everything they would wish for in a child, including the name Timothy. They put their wishes in a box and bury it in their yard. That night strange things happen. It rains only over their house. Then a dirt covered little boy with leaves sprouting from his legs shows appears and says his name is Timothy.
Cindy and Jim realize this gift from their garden is meant to be their child and they immediately take him in as their own. Timothy helps the Greens learn to be parents while making a few mistakes along the way. The movie shares many touching messages including how family is who you make it. I loved watching Cindy and Jim learn how to balance being parents while letting their little boy grown on his own and experience life. That is always a challenge of parenting. This movie is a tear-jerker so be sure to have tissues on hand.
This movie is rated PG. My girls are (almost) 7 and 9 years old both enjoyed it. The ending is sad but they both handled it well and it lead to a nice family discussion in the car ride home. Overall The Odd Life of Timothy Green is a touching movie for the whole family.

Winx Club: Magical Fairy Party DS game is based on the Nickelodeon show, Winx Club. Players will embrace the magic within and discover their inner fairy. Winx Club captures an enchanting story and features mini-games filled with fairies, fashion, friendship (and pets) that fans love.
Kids will get to star in the new game and design their own special fairy, interact with their favorite show characters like Bloom and Stella, and enroll in the enchanting Alfea School. Fans will perform spells, and plan unforgettable events, that include a wondrous ball by designing cakes, creating porters and more!
What We Think– My girls LOVE Winx Club. It is one of their favorite shows so they were so excited when they found out that they would get to review the Winx Club: Magical Fairy Party DS game. This is game is lots of girly fun for them. There are a series of mini-games that each feature a different fairy. In these mini-games the player learns to perform magic.

My girls think the most fun part is being able to create and customize your own fairy by choosing from over 120 different fashion items from hairstyles, outfits, wigs, and pets in lots of different fun colors. My girls also love playing with the coloring pages.
The fairies of Alfea School need help planning fun balls. You can join with the events committee to help them plan seasonally themed parties like a Halloween party, Winter Wonderland, Spring Fling, and more!

Last week I had the privilege of being introduced to The Children’s Place‘s Holiday 2012 clothing line at one of their stores down in Miami, FL. Each of us were given a tour of the store to check out all the different fashions. As the mom of 2 girls I was drawn to all the bling and sparkles of the girls’ clothes. I always say I don’t know what I would do if I had a boy. I don’t know how to dress a boy. That being said, The Children’s Place has some adorable boys’ clothes, too, from dressy holiday attire to fun, playtime clothes. They have a license agreements with Marvel, SpongeBob, and several other fun cartoons so make sure to check out all their fun T-shirts. There were lots of adorable T-shirts for girls, too. I especially loved the Hello Kitty ones!
After we toured the store to check out all the clothes we were given a $100 gift card to go shopping! Have I mentioned how much I love my job? I was given a gift card to go shopping for my children at one of my favorite children’s clothing stores! I love shopping at the Children’s Place because they have great prices and lots of sales. Here’s where I have to mention that I got so caught up in shopping and my arms were so full, that I completely forgot to take picture IN THE STORE until after I left. DUH!!!
Anyway, back to shopping…..some of the items I purchased were on sale and then an additional 50% off. How awesome is that?!?! With 2 girls who like the same things I bought 2 of almost everything I bought. That can add up quickly. With the sales going on at The Children’s Place and an additional 30% off coupon code I had, I really saved A LOT. Plus I got an adorable plush penguin for spending over $60.
The Children’s Place had a bunch of REALLY cute T-shirts for girls for just $6.99. I had a hard time just picking a few for my girls. They are all so cute!
Here are a few that I picked along with some pretty, sparkly hot pink skirts to pair with them. Plus, I got each of my girls the headband in this picture. It was only $1.00 BEFORE the additional 30% off!!! Both my girls have birthdays in December so the Happy Birthday To Me T-shirt was a MUST BUY for me. I bought one for each of them to wear on their birthdays. I bought them a little big so they will be able to wear them next year, too.
In the top left corner you can see the soft, cotton uniform dresses I grabbed for my girls. Even while shopping for fun holiday clothes, I love that I was also able to get some school clothes for them, too. Next to the school dresses you can see a hot pink sparkle dress. The picture doesn’t do this dress justice. It’s so pretty and has sparkles all over it. I also picked out sparkly, black skirts for my girls, too. They are adorned with sequins in the shape of bows which my girls noticed right away. I love the attention to detail.
Aren’t these shoes pretty?!?! I picked out 2 pairs of what else but sparkly shoes for each of my girls- one in black and one in hot pink. The shoes go great with all of the clothes I picked out.

My girls love watching Big Time Rush on tv and have even been to one of their concerts. They were very excited to get an opportunity to try out the Big Time Rush: Backstage Pass (Nintendo DS™) game. They both enjoyed the Big Time Rush songs but found the game challenging. To succeed in this game you have to hold your stylus on various circles and shapes as the outline gets smaller, etc. It was hard for them to do this to the beat of the music so they got frustrated with the game. It reminded me of my first time trying to play Guitar Hero. I had a hard time keeping up with the cord changes because I have no rhythm. I was easily frustrated because I couldn’t pass the first few songs I needed to move on to unlock other songs that I wanted to get to. I think this is what my girls were going through with this game. This game is rated E for Everyone but I think it would be better for older children, 10+ years old. I am sure my girls haven’t seen the last of Big Time Rush: Backstage Pass (Nintendo DS™). I think it will be great when they are a little older and have a little more rhythm. Meanwhile, we’re having fun listening to the songs on the game. 🙂
Victorious: Taking the Lead Nintendo DS™Game Product Review
What we think– Victorious: Taking the Lead is fun new game that features the cast from the hit Nickelodeon show, Victorious. The game starts out with Tori and Jade fighting over the female lead role in the vampire version of Romeo and Juliet because Beck is the male lead. For this game you get to choose to be either Tori or Jade in a dance competition. When the circle comes up you need to tap on the screen to clap your character’s hands. There are lots of other moves to keep up with during this dance competition. Do you have the moves it takes to get the big role? 
Victorious: Taking the Lead features 20 performance competitions based on songs from the hit show such as Take a Hint. Players can interact with the whole crew from Victorious such as Beck, Cat, and Robbie, too. Our favorite part of the game is listening to all the songs and dancing. This game is a big hit with both of my girls who are Victorious fans. Put on your virtual dancing shoes and dance with the kids from Hollywood Heights!
This game says ages 10+ but I think it’s great for younger kids, too. My girls are (almost 7) and 9 years old and they both love it. I’m a fan of the show, too, so I love when they play because I can sing along with the songs, too. (And embarrass them of course!)

Hello Kitty Picnic with Sanrio Friends is a fun is a fun new 3DS game that is great for any Hello Kitty fan ages 6+. It is playable on both regular and 3DS game systems from Nintendo.
What we think– Hello Kitty Picnic with Sanrio Friends has 10 mini-games for you to play. The hardest game to play is the pinata game because you have to tap it a lot to and then catch 3 apples. It’s hard to catch all 3 apples so it is definitely the most challenging mini-game. The most fun part of the Hello Kitty game is the game one where you get to dress up Hello Kitty in different party clothes. The more mini-games you win, the more party clothes you unlock. Spot the Difference is lots of fun, too. It is just like the spot the difference games my girls like to play in magazines so they really enjoy finding differences in the various pictures.
Hello Kitty Picnic with Sanrio Friends is also fun to play in multiplayer mode playing as your favorite Sanrio Characters. My girls especially like Chococat. The 3DS features really accentuation the experience by making the characters seem to pop out of the screen. This game is great for any Hello Kitty fan. My girls are almost 7 and 9 years old and it was purrrrfect for them.
