Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop Play Set and Friends Finish First DVD Product Review

The Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop is a fun playset with lots to do.  It features a new slightly larger size Polly Pocket figure as well as all sorts of animals such a cat, dog, rabbit, and more.  Children can have their pet figures swing on one of several swings.  They can also have Polly Pocket and the animals slide down the slide or ride on the elevator.  Is your pet dirty?  Polly Pocket can give the pets a pretend bath.  There is even a surprise trap door and a working “treat” dispenser.
We love that Polly Pocket figures and playsets are portable.  The weekend that we were planning on trying out the playset we ended up having to stay at my father’s house because our A/C broke.  We were easily able to pack up the Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop set and take it back and forth between our houses.  My younger daughter LOVES Polly Pocket figures and always has one in her hand no matter where we are going.  I love that she is able to use her imagination when she plays with them.
So much to do!
Lots of adorable animals!
Spinning Carousel
Swing!  Bath!
I LOVE how this playset was in an easy open package.  It made it much easier to open it quickly for my excited, waiting daughter!
Lots to do and play with!

Polly Pocket Friends Finish First was a cute movie that featured Polly Pocket and her friends.  In the movie Polly and her friends were in a skating contest and in the end Polly learned that it is more important to have fun with your friends than to try to beat them.  The movie taught a great message and my girls enjoyed it.

There are so many toys out there as any parent knows.  So it’s not often that a toy comes along that my children not only want to play with but we all love the toy’s message and purpose.  Add on that when you purchase this doll a donation is automatically made to World Vision (a charity that helps children around the world) to help children in the country that the doll represents.

I was so excited to be chosen to be a part of the Hearts For Hearts Girls campaign through Mom Select Mommy Parties.  Hearts For Hearts Girls are dolls that each represent a different country from the United States of America to Brazil, India, Mexico, and more.  Each doll is dressed in the typical clothes that a girl in that country would wear.  It comes with a little story book about the girl, her country, and what her life is like in that country.  Each one also includes a friendship bracelet for the girl.

We received 2 dolls, Zelia from Brazil and Nahji from India.  Zelia was dressed in the typical colors of Brazil and Naji was dressed in beautiful tunic from India.  She even has the traditional nose piercing and henna tattoo on her hand.  They are each 14 inches, have poseable vinyl bodies, and high-quality rooted hair.  I just love the attention to detail in these dolls’ styling.  The quality of these dolls is great and so is the price.  They retail for around $29.99 and you can purchase additional outfits for around $12.99.

Learning about life in other countries really opened my daughters’ eyes to the world outside of our little community.  My daughters learned about protecting the Rain Forrest in Brazil and how young girls in India often get married and start families very young.  You will see from our video how these dolls have inspired my daughters to get active and involved in change in our home and community.

What Age Is It Appropriate To Tell Your Daughter The Details Of How A Baby Is Created?

Thank you for visiting Cori's Cozy Corner! Please make sure to like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our E-mails!

At what age did you/will you tell your son/daughter how babies are made INCLUDING how the Daddy plants the “seed” in the Mommy?  I have told my almost 9 year old (and my almost 7 year old) that the Daddy puts a “seed” in the Mommy and it grows into a baby inside the Mommy’s stomach.  They know that the baby comes out of the vagina expect in their case they know they both came out via C-section.

They know about the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, and sperm thanks to the plush uterus I received at BlogHer  and the plush sperm cell and plush egg cell someone sent me.  But today my almost 9 year old asked HOW the Daddy gets the “seed” in the Mommy.  She is very bright and I have never given her “fake” answers for things.

She knows that girls have vaginas, a uterus, vulva, etc. and then boys have a penis and testicles (we have a boy kitten and she asked about his “butt cheeks” so I explained all about testicles).  But I don’t know what age is appropriate for her to know about SEX.  I’d love for you to weigh in on this!  Please be respectful of all opinions!  Thanks!

On a side note- My daughter is actually starting her own blog to write about 9 year old topics like school, friends, sports, and like Mommy, product reviews.  I can only imagine her posting the 9 year old view on how babies are made on her blog!  LOL  I don’t think THAT will be happening since I am the one actually submitting what she types onto her blog.  Her new blog is The Sassy Little Blogger.  We just got it up this weekend and it is still being designed but bookmark it if you have daughters or sons that might want to read the perspective on things from a girl their age.  She will be having contests, etc. too.  Parents will have to be the ones to enter of course (18 years or older).  Come join the fun!

From Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy®-winning director Rich Moore comes “Wreck-It Ralph,” a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping adventure. For decades, Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) has been overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, Jr. (voice of Jack McBrayer), the good-guy star of their game who always gets to save the day. Tired of playing the role of a bad guy, Ralph takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a journey across the arcade through multiple generations of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.

On his quest, Ralph meets tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch) from the first-person action game Hero’s Duty, and feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, who may just be his first real friend. But everything changes when a deadly enemy is unleashed, threatening the entire arcade and Vanellope herself. Ralph finally gets his chance to save the day—but can he do it in time? “Wreck-It Ralph” crashes onto the big screen on November 2, 2012, in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.
