Disclosure- I have been provided an all expense paid trip to Los Angeles for the Big Hero 6 movie premiere and ABC TV Event in exchange for coverage of these events.  All opinions are 100% my own.   Thank you so much Disney and ABC TV!

bigHero653da7d7b32142Hopefully you’ve already seen Big Hero 6 and the adorable movie short that precedes it, Feast, but if you haven’t here’s a little bit of what you’re missing.

Feast is the story of one man’s love life as seen through the eyes of his best friend and dog, Winston, and revealed bite by bite through the meals they share.  Winston is an adorable Boston Terrier who shares many different types of food with his owner, such as french fries and pasta.  When Winston’s owner gets a girlfriend we see the types of foods Winston is given changes to healthy foods like vegetables.  I don’t want to tell too much more and spoil the movie short for you but it is amazing just how much story can be told just through the food that is given to Winston.

Fun Facts about Feast:

~Winston is the first Boston Terrier featured in a Disney movie.

~The town in Feast is based on a college town called Oxford, Ohio.

~ It took 53 weeks from start of production to Feast’s premiere.

~ It took a team of around 7 key people plus lots of other people worked on Feast a little.

~Feast was created while other Disney movies were being made (such as Big Hero 6).  The people responsible for making Feast were also working on other bigger movie projects as well so production of Feast was worked around people being available to work on it.

~Feast showcases how a dog relates to it’s owner based on patterns in how he/she feeds it.

~All food in Feast was meant to look iconic so it was obvious within a second or two what food it was.

~Feast Fridays- Every Friday the crew of the movie would be gathered together to go over what was done during the week and one food from short would be served such as a waffle bar, carrots and humus, etc.feastOn the walls of the Disney Animation Studio.

10628703_10152298437256770_5373620466641608600_oI am so excited to announce that my e-mail was sprinkled with some Disney fairy dust a few weeks ago.  I have been invited back to Los Angeles with 24 other bloggers for an AMAZING, jam packed press trip.  Just like when I went to the red carpet premiere of Frankenweenie and Disney’s Planes, part of this trip includes walking the red carpet at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood for the premiere of Big Hero 6.  And after the premiere we’ll be rubbing elbows with stars at the after party.  I wonder who we’ll see?!?!

Big-Hero-6-poster-2-fullMy girls have been talking about BIG HERO 6 ever since they saw the trailer and I can’t blame them.  I am also beyond excited to be seeing this movie.

Here’s a trailer of Big Hero 6 so you can see what we’re so excited about.  #BigHero6Event

feastI’m also excited to see the movie short that is being shown before Big Hero 6 called FEAST.  It looks adorable!  We’ll be interviewing FEAST Director Patrick Osborne & Producer Kristina Reed (who I met when we interviewed her for her work on Paperman).
And here is a sneak peek at FEAST.  How cute is this dog!?!?!

Sounds like a great trip, right?  Well all of that is just the tip of the iceberg.  There is so much more excitement in store for us.  We will be attending a live taping of “Dancing with the Stars” (Monday nights at 8/7cat the glamorous ballroom set!  That’s right, we’ll be in the audience in the middle of the action and surrounded by stars.  I have 2 left feet when it comes to dancing but I love to watch it so I am so excited to be there live.  Plus we get to get all dressed up for the show!  After several days of dress shopping I finally found the perfect dress but you’ll have to wait a little while to see what I picked.  Afterwards, we’ll be going out to dinner and we will be live tweeting during the West coast airing of the show – when a special guest (or two!) might make an appearance.  I can’t wait to see who our special guest(s) might be!  I secretly hope it’s Alfonso Ribeiro.  This is a clip of my favorite dance he’s done so far on the show.   #ABCTVEvent and #DWTS

Have you seen the hilarious new ABC show, black-ish (Wednesday nights at 9:30/8:30c?  It stars Anthony Anderson () and Tracee Ellis Ross  and it is hysterical!  We’ll be visiting the Walt Disney Studio Lot for special preview screenings of episodes of ABC shows, including black-ish – which also shoots on the Disney lot, so we might be touring the set, too!
This is one of my favorite clips from the show.  If you haven’t seen it yet, check out what you’re missing. #blackishABC

We will also be screening the upcoming musical comedy “Galavant” (hosted by Executive Producer Dan Fogelman of “Tangled” and “Cars” fame).  Here’s a clip to see what it’s all about. #Galavant

Agent-Carter-GFX-650x445 Are you a Marvel-  Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fan?  Agent Carter is a new show that will debut in January 2015 during the season two mid-season break of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  We will be meeting Agent Carter herself (aka actress Hayley Atwell), interviewing the Executive Producers Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas (also EPs on Resurrection– one of my favorite shows), touring the set and other super exciting things!  #‎ABCTVEvent‬ #‎AgentCarter‬

1743488_10105724534089614_8227948042648886929_nJust added to our adventure, we will be screening the new Kevin Costner film McFARLAND, USA!!! The movie doesn’t open until 2/22/15 so there isn’t even a trailer to show you yet but I’ll be sure to share one with you when it does.

This looks so adorable!  I can’t wait to see it when I head to Los Angeles next week to attend the red carpet premiere of Big Hero 6.  Keep an eye out for that post coming later this week.

“Feast,” a new short from first-time director Patrick Osborne (head of animation for “Paperman”) and Walt Disney Animation Studios, is the story of one man’s love life as seen through the eyes of his best friend and dog, Winston, and revealed bite by bite through the meals they share.  I get chills just posting about this because if you recall a few years ago I met Kristina Reed, who was the producer for Paperman as well as this new Disney short.
