Did you know that arthritis is the nation’s leading cause of disability? One in every five adults has arthritis; that’s 50 million people in the US and 27 million of them have osteoarthritis, the most common form of arthritis.
While there is no cure, the Arthritis Foundation wants to encourage all Americans to take simple steps that will help to reduce pain, increase mobility and slow osteoarthritis progression.
In partnership with the Ad Council, the Arthritis Foundation is continuing their Fight Arthritis Pain campaign and encouraging all Americans to Move to Improve on and around World Arthritis Day on October 12, 2012.
