Last week I was invited to a Blogger Back to School event at BJ’s Wholesale Club. I had been to a BJs before but I had no idea just how much I had to learn.
For example, BJ’s carries the most product variety of any other wholesale club with more than 7,000 items, including supermarket-sized staples. I had always assumed that all items would be in giant boxes. I had no idea that many of the packages are supermarket-sized items multipackaged together.
They also carry lots of organic products for all the health conscious shoppers.
As a coupon blogger my favorite tip on BJ’s that I learned is that BJ’s is the only wholesale club to accept all manufacturers’ coupons in addition to inclub coupons (located at the front of the store) and for greater convenience, offers the most payment options including EBT.
But wait, it gets better. You can combine BJ’s inclub coupons (located at the front of the store) or their mailer coupons AND manufacturers’ coupons. So if you have a BJ’s coupon for Capri Sun Juice Boxes and a manufacturers’ coupon for Capri Sun Juice Boxes YOU CAN USE BOTH. But wait, it gets EVEN BETTER. When purchasing a multi-pack of “individual for sale” packaged items, which is a set of items that could be sold individually (each item has a barcode) shrinkwrapped and sold together, shoppers can combine one BJ’s-issued coupon with one manufacturers’ coupon per item.
For example, BJ’s sells Capri Sun Juice Boxes in a set of 4 supermarket sized boxes shrinkwrapped together. You would be able to use 1 BJ’s coupon AND 4 manufacturers’ coupons to purchase that package of Capri Sun Juice Boxes. However, you cannot exceed the actual retail price in the total value of coupons. Finding out about this coupon policy blew me away!!!

Three-pack of toothpaste
Two-pack of salad dressing
Three-pack of taco kits
Examples of products that are NOT a multipack:
Box of cereal that contains two bags (the bags cannot be sold individually)

More rules on coupons at BJ’s
• Members may also use one BJ’s coupon and one manufacturer’s coupon on a single item.
• In terms of manufacturer’s coupons that are ‘buy one, get one free’ BJ’s will honor the coupon for items in stock as long as BJ’s price does not exceed the maximum value stated on the coupon. If the manufacturer’s coupon does not state the maximum value then BJ’s cannot honor the coupon.
• BJ’s cannot accept multiple BJ’s-issued coupons on a product.
Where to find BJ’s Coupons
• BJ’s offers coupons at the front of every club updated twice a month for Members to use.
• BJ’s accepts manufacturers’ coupons from online too.
• BJ’s has its own coupons available on their website at by clicking on the “In-Club Coupons” tab on its home page.
• BJ’s also mails out a quarterly publication called the BJ’s Journal to a majority of its Members, which contains coupons only redeemable at BJ’s.
Just imagine the savings you can rack up by combining multiple coupons, a BJ’s coupon, and BJ’s already low wholesale prices!

BJs also has a large beef and poultry department. They feature Perdue chicken and have their beef delivered fresh daily and cut in-Club. And did you know that you can have the butcher break up any of the packages into smaller ones so you can easily freeze them in smaller portions or share them with someone else? How cool is that?!?!
