Some people are satisfied with changing the way they look in small ways. They might have a new haircut, buy a new top or get their ears pierced. But other people prefer to go for bigger changes, changes that are more permanent and alter the way they look drastically. These changes, like tattoos and plastic surgery, need to be considered much more carefully than just getting a new pair of shoes or having a manicure. But if you’re looking for a big change in your life, perhaps changing yourself instead of the outside world is the answer? Changing your look can have a knock-on effect and after your big change, you might start to see that the rest of your life is changing too. Have a look at these ways you can change your image to decide if they’re for you.

Cosmetic Surgery

Many women contemplate cosmetic surgery at one point in their lives. There are lots of ways of altering your body with surgery, from your face to your feet. It’s often used to combat the effects of weight gain or weight loss, as well as aging. But many women have cosmetic surgery just because they want to change the way their face looks. Undergoing facial plastic surgery by Dr. Bustillo could change your nose, mouth or eyes, if you’re unhappy with them. Another popular option is breast enhancement (surgically or with creams) or reduction.  Surgery is a big step, so if you are considering any surgery you need to think about it for a long time. It’s important that you don’t make any decisions when there are other factors in your life that could be causing you stress or upset, such as a break-up.

Tattoos

Tattoos are a very popular form of body modification because you can do so many things of them. From people who are covered head to toe, to people who have barely noticeable tattoos, millions of people have them. Some people think of tattoos as being huge pieces, inked over someone’s entire arm or back. But many of them are very subtle and easily hidden under clothes. If you’re thinking about a tattoo, you might have to think about whether it’s appropriate for your job. Many employers ask that you have no visible tattoos, so you need to be able to cover it up. You also have to consider the longevity of it. You can get temporary tattoos, but usually they’re permanent. Are you going to regret it later, and if so will, you be able to cover it up or remove it with laser treatment?

Permanent Makeup

Some women now have permanent makeup applied to their face, so they don’t have to apply it every day. It isn’t entirely permanent – it’s normally semi-permanent instead. It’s a kind of tattooing, which you can have applied as eyeliner, lip tint or even permanent eyebrows or eyebrow tint. If you’re fed up of applying your makeup every day, permanent makeup might be a good option for you.

If you’re bored of or unhappy with the way you look and a makeover hasn’t worked, perhaps it’s time to try something more drastic. But be careful not to jump into anything without careful consideration.
