It’s back to school time and children aren’t the only ones going back to school.  So are lice!  We were given several products from Fairy Tales Hair Care to review- Rosemary Repel® Conditioning SprayConditioning Shampoo, and our new favorite product, Bug Bandit .  We’ve been fans of Fairy Tales Hair Care for several years now and we use their products all the time.  We love all of their Rosemary Repel products for keeping lice away.  They are all natural, organic, and have a pleasant smell that keeps lice away.  They have a whole line of products that repel lice from shampoos and conditioners to hair gels and the rosemary repel conditioning spray we reviewed.  The conditioning spray is great because it helps detangle my girls’ hair and also prevents against lice.  I spray it on every morning before school when I am putting their hair up in ponytails.

Fairytales Hair Care also has great products to keep hair healthy.  The Conditoning Shampoo we received is great.  It doesn’t take much to get a good lather, my girls can shampoo by themselves, and because it is a conditioning shampoo they can skip adding extra conditoner.  The Conditioning Shampoo leaves their hair soft and silky.

Our new favorite product comes from Fairy Tales’ Bad Bugs line.  We received Bug Bandit which is an insect repellant that is organic, and chemical and Deet free which is important to me as a parent.  My younger daughter gets terribly bitten by mosquitoes so I was so excited when I saw that Fairy Tales made a natural product to keep mosquitoes away.  It smells nice, is easy to use, and works great.  It has really helped my daughter stay bug bite free on our nighttime walks with our new puppy.  They also make a spray to kill bed bugs.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL IS HEAD LICE SEASON…PARENTS BE PREPARED

Here’s some great information on lice prevention from Fairy Tales Hair Care:
WEEKLY HEAD CHECKS CAN MINIMIZE AN OUTBREAK

NEW YORK, NY (August 14, 2013) – Parents need not fear the dreadful note home from school announcing an outbreak of head lice anymore.  With a little bit of prevention, parents can avoid a full blown lice outbreak.

A recent survey by Fairy Tales Hair Care found that while 93% of parents teach their children the basic prevention tips such as not sharing hats, helmets, brushes and  combs, only 56% of parents do a weekly head check.

Studies have shown that a pro-active check for lice and their eggs in “hot spots” can help to minimize a lice outbreak.  Lice lay eggs (nits) in warm, moist areas around the head.  These include behind ears, nape of the neck and at the part lines.  By checking these areas with a metal comb designed to remove nits, parents can stay ahead of an outbreak.  Lice expert and founder of Fairy Tales Hair Care Risa Barash, recommends the Fairy Tales Terminator Comb as the stainless steel, micro-grooved teeth are gentle on the scalp and catch the smallest of nits.

To assist parents, Fairy Tales Hair Care, makers of the bestselling Rosemary Repel lice prevention products, created a short video showing where to look, how to spot a louse or a nit and easy tips to learn the best method for combing during an outbreak.   This video and additional tips on lice prevention and removal using chemical free products such as Rosemary Repel and Lice Good-Bye, visit www.fairytaleshaircare.com and join the conversation at www.facebook.com/FairyTaleshaircare  and on twitter @fairytaleshaircare.
