ANGRY BIRDS™ GO! JENGA® PIRATE PIG ATTACK™ GAME review

Like Angry Birds?  Like Jenga?  Then you’ll love ANGRY BIRDS™ GO! JENGA® PIRATE PIG ATTACK™ GAME.  There are 2 ways to play this game- 2 player or 1 player but the set up is the same.  You must first set up the ship with the Jenga blocks and arrange the canons and pigs where you want them.  If you are playing against another player then you both place your karts on the ramp and get ready for head to head action as you both launch your karts towards the ship to knock down as many blocks, canons, and pigs as you can.  You earn points for each item you knock down.  Continue to launch your karts until all of the pieces are knocked down and figure out who earned the most points and is the winner.

We tried the 2 player version first and it was a little difficult to figure out which kart knocked down which blocks because it was a photo-finish each time.  We actually had to look at the photos I took to see which kart struck first.  We then decided to try the 1 player version instead.  With the 1 player version, only 1 player launches their karts at a time until they knock down all the pieces.  The object is to see how many turns it takes to knock down all the pieces.  Each player counted how many turns it took them to knock down all the pieces and the winner was the player who knocked everything down in the least amount of turns.  This version worked much better for us because we didn’t have to worry about which kart struck the ship first.  Either version we played was lots of fun for my girls.  They loved the excitement of launching their karts across the table to knock over the pieces of the ship.  What child doesn’t like launching things across the room to knock things over?  As a mom I like that it is an easy game for my girls to set up and play by with little help from me which makes it great for the times that I need them to keep themselves busy for a few minutes so I can get some cooking or cleaning done.  And I think the piggies are cute, too.

Jenga Tetris hi-res

Remember back in the day playing TETRIS until you saw TETRIS pieces in your sleep and had “TETRIS” finger?  I can’t be the only one, right?  And who doesn’t love a good game of Jenga?  I know my girls and I love to play the stacking game.  So what do you get when you combine two of the world’s best-known stacking games?  The answer is JENGA TETRIS®.  It’s sure to be a party as players push, pull and stack the iconic TETRIS® shapes into a JENGA tower like you’ve never seen before!  Keep the game going for as long as you can by competing to build the tallest tower.  Whatever you do, don’t be the player to knock it down!  Playing JENGA TETRIS® is simple to learn but offers a challenge to win.  Stack the plastic TETRIS shaped pieces to form each square 3×3 level- gaps are ok since not all pieces will fit together to make a solid 3×3 square.  Once your JENGA TETRIS® tower is ready, take turns pulling out a piece from one level and placing it delicately on top.  You can only use one hand but you can wiggle the pieces a bit to see which one can be removed.  Don’t be the one to knock the tower over or you lose!  My girls and I had a fun time playing this new game of 2 classic games combined.  It was a little harder than regular JENGA and each game didn’t last very long but it is the perfect quick game for my girls (almost 8 and 10 years old) and of course I had fun playing with them, too.  Add this fun game to your family game night this holiday season.
