Have an iPad and love playing interactive multiplayer games?  Check out Pressman’s fun iPieces games.  Pressman Toys has been around for 90 years so they are no stranger to making fun toys for children and adults alike.
Pressman iPieces come in several fun games including a Fishing Game, Air Hockey, Game of Goose, Snakes and Ladders, and even Pool.  I first learned about these games when I attended the BlogHer convention this past August in NYC.  I was immediately drawn to the games, especially the Air Hockey because I love playing air hockey.  I was so bummed when I learned that the games were only for iPads because at the time I didn’t own an iPad.  For Black Friday I was able to get a great deal on an iPad and the first thing I did after I bought my iPad was contact Pressman to see if I could review their iPieces games.  They have stuck in my mind the past few months and I really wanted to be able to play them with my family.
Pressman sent me 2 of their iPieces games, the Fishing Game and of course my favorite, Air Hockey!  I was so excited when I received them.  Of course I had to wait a few days to actually play them because the iPad I ordered on Black Friday hadn’t arrived yet.  Oh the torture!  Once my iPad arrived my girls and I started playing the iPieces games right away.  The Fishing Game is a lot of fun.  It’s just like the game I used to play as a child where the fish go around and you have to pick them up with your fishing pole when their mouth opens.  The game comes with 4 special fishing rods so you can play with up to 4 players.  Like the non-iPad game, the object is to collect the most fish.  But watch out for the pesky bird flying overhead.  He’ll steal fish right out of your bucket if you aren’t careful!
Of course the iPieces Air Hockey game is my favorite.  It’s is like regular air hockey but there are some twists.  The puck is virtual (animated on the screen) but it comes with 2 real iPieces hockey strikers.  It takes a little getting used to playing on an iPad because you don’t have all the room that you do with a regular air hockey table so staying on your own side of the table was a little tricky for my girls at first.  There are also some extras with this version of air hockey.  Sometimes there is a second hockey puck that appears on the screen.  Get it in your opponent’s goal and you will (or lose) however many points it says on the puck.  Be careful because sometimes it has a negative number on it and you will lose points.  There is also a broken ice hole that appears on the screen.  If the puck goes in there you will also gain or lose points depending on what is shown in the ice hole.
Both games are fun for the whole family.  I do suggest having a screen protector on your iPad just in case your kids are rough like mine.  We plan to buy the other iPieces games soon.  Check out our video to watch the games in action.
