With the start of fall it’s nice to start the day with a warm, comforting breakfast. Weight Watchers Smart Ones® just came out with a new line of oatmeal made with wholesome ingredients like steel-cut and rolled oats, real fruit, and granola. It comes in 3 flavors- Apples & Cinnamon, Maple & Brown Sugar, and Peaches & Cream. Smart Ones® oatmeal is found in the frozen food aisle in heat & eat cups, making it easy to enjoy on the go. I like Smart Ones® oatmeal because I can just grab one from the freezer, pop it in the microwave, and in a few minutes have a warm, comforting breakfast that is very satisfying. When I make regular oatmeal it can sometimes be too watery, but that doesn’t happen with Smart Ones® oatmeal so it’s goof-proof. Unlike dried oatmeal packages, it has fresh tasting, plump REAL fruits like apples, peaches, and raisins. It keeps me full for hours with 5 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein. They are all under 200 calories and have around 2 grams of fat.
Apples & Cinnamon Oatmeal– Apple cinnamon steel cut and rolled oats topped with apples and granola. It tastes similar to an apple crisp so a little like having dessert for breakfast only this is one “dessert” that you can feel good about eating for breakfast.
Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal– Maple flavored steel cut and rolled oats topped with raisins, cranberries and granola, with other natural flavors. This flavor has a wonderful combination of maple, fruits, and granola that blend perfectly together for a sweet but not too sweet start to your morning.
Peaches & Cream Oatmeal– Peach flavored steel cut and rolled oats topped with peaches & granola, with other natural flavors. I have yet to find this flavor at my local store but I am on the lookout for it and will update when I taste it.
