Humanity is a strange race. Humans constantly do things which you know can hurt the body and your health, and nobody seemingly doesn’t even care. There are many things which can hurt a human’s body in a variety of ways. Different things can cause harm to specific parts of our body and sometimes you don’t even know it until it’s too late and you’re in hospital. Here you can see some of the things which can cause your health to deteriorate.

Over Exercising

Of course exercising can be a great way to stay healthy, lose weight and build muscle, but some people get the exercising bug and just can’t stop, it becomes a do or die situation where you exercise on a daily basis and constantly push yourself over and over again. It can be quite damaging. People who over exercise can be prone to injuries, they’re stopping the body from healing and resting, which it needs. You put strain on your tendons and ligaments and put your bones at risk of breaking. You can also lower your immune system because your body is so focused on healing it tends to spread its efforts around, instead of concentrating purely on keeping you from getting ill. There are many downsides to over exercising, the key is to exercise in moderation.

Smoking

It’s an odd one. Everyone knows the downsides and extreme health risks of smoking yet people still seem to want to do it. There are countless ways to help you stop. Recently, vaping has taken to the fore, and is a different way of inhaling nicotine with a wide variety of different flavours. It uses an e juice which disperses into vapour. However, this also has extreme nasty side effects though it is better than smoking. Nicotine patches, tablets and gum are a wholly better way to quit smoking and to protect your body from the innumerable downsides.

Overworking

Workaholics beware. Overworking really is a thing that can damage your health. If you’re not careful you can end up getting into a damaging routine which your supervisor expects of you. This may keep you up late working, resulting in a lack of sleep, or stress you out, leaving you with heart problems. It can affect your relationships, giving you little time to spend with loved ones. You need to assess how much its hurting you and have the conversation with your supervisor. Put your health first, always.

Not Drinking Enough Water

The human body is literally made up of water, so it stands to reason we should be drinking a lot of it. However the majority of people won’t, instead they’ll mistake the feeling for hunger or will be far too busy to take a drink at all. If you don’t drink enough you’ll become dehydrated, your skin will be cracked and unhealthy and you’ll lose vital energy levels which should be maintained. It can help your cells regenerate at faster levels, leaving us without headaches and able to function as we should.
