Yesterday my family and I went to West Palm Beach to see the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus and had a wonderful time. My children loved that before the show started they were able to play dress up and try on some of the costumes plus meet with some of the entertainers.
The cotton candy came with a wet wipe! LOL
I thought the show was a nice mix of modern acts and old school side show entertainment- fire breather, flaming batons, and a strongman that was AMAZING! He had a real Jeep filled with circus performers ride over his torso while he was just covered with a board. Crazy! Here he is with 8 women standing on a board on his chest.
And here he is lifting 7 women on a pole on his back!
He was going across “monkey bars” upsidedown by his feet!!!
I also really enjoyed the comedy act in between the regular acts. Instead of clowns entertaining they had a “nerd” and the band leader interacting with lots of physical comedy that really made the crowd laugh.
It would be hard to pick my favorite act in the show. I loved the dogs that did tricks but I also loved the acrobats and the motorcycle drivers that drove around a small metal cage. I think my daughters liked the elephants and the tiny ponies the best.
We all had a lot of fun. The show we saw was smaller than the larger circus that is coming to Miami next week so I am sure that one will be even better. Make sure to bring some extra money with you for popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and souvenirs. The popcorn and cotton candy came with keepsake hats and the snow cones came in a cute clown faced keepsake mug.
