While most donut shops and companies out there focus on low cost, high volume
and average quality ingredients, there’s always one company that stands out by
adhering to its founder’s standards. Thats how I would describe Entemann’s. All
of their donuts and products contain the best quality ingredients and unlike all
other donuts you see at the store, you can clearly see the love and appreciation
that Entemann’s puts into their donuts.  Just looking at the care of the
packaging.

I’ve always said that I’m not much of a sweets person, but more of a salty or
sour type of guy. But lets face it, who doesn’t crave a good yummy donut for
breakfast or snack through out the day?

Entenmann’s celebrated the 40th birthday of Rich, their Rich Frosted Donut, along with the 400,000,000 Rich Frosted Donut to be coming off the production line in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on January 31st.

“I can’t believe I’ll be turning forty years old in January!,” said Rich, the frosted donut created by Entenmann’s Bakery.

This year, Rich will also unveil the biggest secret of his life – Mrs. Rich Frosted. Who will it be? What’s your guess?

I was given a copy of The Money Code to review.  I don’t normally do reviews of books but I was intrigued by the title and the topic in general.  Who couldn’t use a little help with their financial life, right?  Most of us are not really taught how to make big financial decisions both for ourselves and with our partners.  The Money Code really makes you stop and think about how you view money, how you handle money, and how your past experiences with money influence your decisions on how to handle money.  The author shares how your biases will affect every financial decision you make.  Everyone has one of 3 Money Minds- Fear, Happiness, and Commitment.  It is our Money Mind that guides our decisions on money.  The book is written about a fictional character, Jack, and as he learns more about how to make better financial decisions, so does the reader.  I found the book a very easy read.  It has great tips and a checklist of making financial decisions.  I am sure I will be pulling it out the next time my hubby and I need to make a financial decision.

Wholly Guacamole and Jennie-O Turkey Burger Review and Giveaway

 I have been trying to get my family to eat healthier so I was excited when I was picked to review Jennie-O’s new jalapeno turkey burgers and Wholly Guacamole products.  I was afraid that the jalapeno burgers would be too spicy for my daughters so I bought Jennie-O’s regular turkey burgers for them.  I have to admit that when I first told my girls that we were going to be having turkey burgers for dinner I was met with a chorus of “I don’t like turkey burgers!”  My husband was ready to let the girls make their own PB&J sandwiches but I stopped him in his tracks.  My girls love regular burgers and I knew they would like turkey burgers, too.


We don’t have a grill right now so I opted for the broiler directions.  I broiled the burgers for about 13 minutes on each side and they came out delicious.  Everyone chose their own cheese and toppings.  We all picked a slice of bacon, three of us chose cheddar cheese, and one of my daughters chose American cheese.   Hubby and I had guacamole on our burgers and it was delicious.  The jalapeno burgers weren’t as spicy as I had thought they would be and the guacamole added a nice cooling taste and texture.  I tried to get my daughters to try the guacamole but I didn’t want to push my luck this time.  I’ll get them to try guacamole next time for sure!
So guess who ended up liking the turkey burgers?  BOTH of my girls.  My younger daughter even said it was one of the best burgers she has ever had.  Ok, so the kid likes to compliment my cooking, but even so, she did love it and so did her sister.
I love that the Jennie-O turkey burgers come frozen, individually sealed, and can be cooked right from frozen so I don’t have to worry about remembering to defrost dinner.  As a busy mom with daughters who have soccer practice 4 nights a week this really comes in handy.  Jennie-O jalapeno turkey burgers can be found at Walmart.  Make sure to check out their other turkey products such as breakfast sausage, bacon, meatballs, ground turkey, and even sandwich meats.

I am a big guacamole fan and none compare to Wholly Guacamole.  It is all natural, has no preservatives, made with real Haas avocados, and can be frozen for up to 3 months.  It has just the right blend of avocados, jalapenos, and spices.  Wholly Guacamole comes in several different sizes but my favorite size is the 100 calorie pack of 3.  It is just enough for a snack and it makes portion control  easy.  Wholly Guacamole can also be found at Walmart and check for it at your favorite grocery store, too!

Razor Kick Scooter Product Review and Giveaway

New to Razor’s line of kick scooters is the new, trendy line of Razor Berry Scooters.  The Razor Berry scooters come in fun, bright colors such as blue, green, pink, and teal.  They have bright plastic skateboard style decks, bright wheels and grips.  It was almost fully assembled right out of the box.  Once I removed it from the box I was able to easily snap in the handle grips, attach the down tube to the deck, and it was ready to go.  As a mom with children who aren’t always the most patient, it is much appreciated when a toy assembles easily out of the box.
My daughter put on her helmet- safety first- and she was ready to go!  This scooter is for ages 5+ and holds up to 143 pounds.  (I will admit the 143 pounds made me laugh because it’s an odd number.)  Both my 9 year old and my almost 7 year old are able to ride this scooter with ease.  They push off with one foot and away they go.  The handle bars are cushioned for a comfortable grip and easy to steer with.  The rear fender is a brake.  If you want to stop or slow down simply press down on the fender.  The more pressure, the faster you will stop.

My daughters had a lot of fun riding around on their Razor Scooter.   So much so that I also bought another model Razor scooter so they could both ride scooters at the same time.  This one is similar as it has a rear brake and cushioned handle bars.  The main difference is that the other model is all metal, the handle bars have an adjustable height, and it folds down for easy storage.  We love both of our Razor scooters and would recommend then to anyone.
