Lifescript FibromyalgiaHaving an chronic syndrome like Fibromyalgia can leave you feeling many emotions including scared, frustrated, and confused.  There is so much information out there that it can all be overwhelming, but Lifescript.com can help.   Lifescript.com is a website that helps to inform people about various conditions including fibromyalgia syndrome.  It took me many years and several doctors to finally figure out what was causing all my symptoms including widespread aches and pains and debilitating exhaustion.  For years my doctors dismissed my concerns and seemed to brush me aside.  I was exhausted all the time and felt like I was in a permanent “fog”.  I began to feel like it was all in my head.  Then I heard about Fibromyalgia and it all clicked.  As soon as I brought it up to my primary care doctor he ran some tests and agreed that I indeed had Fibromyalgia.  What makes Fibromyalgia so hard to diagnose is that it has many different symptoms that can all seem unrelated and can look different for each patient.  I am now seeing a rheumatologist and I am trying to get on the right track to feel some relief.  It is a scary road but finding as much information as I can on Fibromyalgia helps ease my mind and make me feel more in control.

Lifescript.com has become a great resource to me in my quest for more information because it has lots of great articles about chronic fibromyalgia including various treatments of fibromyalgia.  Lifescript.com provides medical information, tips and advice that are all written by professional health writers, experts and physicians.  It offers lots of great tips on clearing the “fog”, managing fibromyalgia with diet and exercise, finding support for fibromyalgia, and an important one for me, tips on losing the guilt of living with fibromyalgia while trying to be a good parent to my 2 daughters.  One tip that really stuck out to me is “Put your own oxygen mask on first”.  I can’t be a good parent if I don’t take care of myself first and it is so true.  As moms we tend to put everyone else first but with fibromyalgia I have to remember that I need to take care of myself so I CAN take care of my family.  Reading the articles on fibromyalgia on Lifescript.com really helps me feel like I am not alone.  There are lots of personal stories that I can relate to and it’s nice to know that other women out there are feeling the same way I am.

If you have chronic widespread pain, exhaustion, a general “foggy” feeling, or any of the other fibromyalgia symptoms, make sure to check out the information on fibromyalgia and ask your doctor if you could have fibromyalgia syndrome.   Just know that you are not alone.  Visit www.lifescript.com for useful information on Fibromyalgia and other prevalent medical conditions related to women’s health.  Have your own fibromyalgia story?  Please share it!
